Well.. you could be confident and ask him out yourself or you could attempt to *drop hints* that you like or as you say *LOVE* him.. Try not to have a friend ask him or talk to him for you.. i don't think thats "right".. if you can't even talk to the guy you like than.. well yeah..

You could leave him subtle hints in a creative way such as:
1) Give him a rose with a note saying that you'd like to take the friendship a step further.
2) Talk to him on the phone, and say, "A friend suggested that we would be great as bf and gf together! (Laugh a little) What do you think?"
...or you could ask him yourself! (I suggest that!) Sometimes it's pointless waiting forever for a guy to "pop the question". Who knows, he may be waiting for you to give hints that you're ready or to "pop the question". Good luck, and if you need any more advice, you can send it to my inbox.
