0rangeTape answered Sunday August 15 2004, 9:47 pm: You could buy the highlights you do yourself from the store i heard the herbal essence works really good or u could find a color close to what your roots are (or whatever color you want) and then buy the hair color at the store and die your hair 1 color and then you can always put more highlights in it later [ 0rangeTape's advice column | Ask 0rangeTape A Question ]
xokristabelle answered Sunday August 15 2004, 6:08 pm: Buy your own highlighting kit! It's very easy to do. I recommend L'oreal Feria (around 7 bucks), it's easy to use and not too bright. If they don't have the shade you're looking for, try Herbal Essences. Both are available at Walmart, Feria is about $7 and and Herbal Essences is about $9. Good luck! Lizzy answered Sunday August 15 2004, 6:00 pm: If your hair is dark brown, you should get caramel highlights, or red. You can get some hair dye at a grocery store for like $10 and have a friends give you natural looking highlights all over with it. Hope i helped a little

reflektionofme answered Sunday August 15 2004, 5:53 pm: I had the exact same problem! So I went out and bought a temporary hair dye from sally's. I decided i wanted went to go darker than my natural for a little bit of change. If you do that, make sure you ask the person if the base of the dye is ash or natural. You do NOT want ash or natural base, it can turn your hair green.. eek! Sometimes a change is good! Or just buy a cheap highlights kit. I reccommend going somewhere like Sally's Beauty Supply. Hope I helped. Good luck! [ reflektionofme's advice column | Ask reflektionofme A Question ]
