my bestest friend in the whole world is a real geek. i am more on the popular side whenever she comes around everyone talks behind her back but i no its not good to change a person

if you and this gurl are are bff's the you shouldn't care! she sounds like a great person and your right you should never change a person! and if you here ppl taling about your "best friend" then you should tell then that she is your best friend and that they shouldn't judge ppl by the way they look! hope it helps
