I used to use it..Just like mud from your back yard or something haha..But also you can use Calohist Clear to make you stop itching it and spreading it..It would help it go away [ XBarbieGurl2008X's advice column | Ask XBarbieGurl2008X A Question ]
accolade answered Friday August 13 2004, 11:34 pm: okay, this is gonna sound really weird, but it works. in th rainforest in the yucatan peninsula(mexico) there is a tree called the box chechem, it is VERY poisonous, and leaves a rash that can last more than six months. the only way to get rid of it is by boiling the bark of tha chaca tree, and putting it on your skin. i've tried it also on poison ivy, and it helps. now, it probably won't help you right now, but you can get it online(or if you live or ever go to mexico you can get it there) for future poison ivy... it works really really fast. sorry i can't help for THIS TIME, i really am, but i never found anything but tha chaca bark that helps.

MFS answered Friday August 13 2004, 11:24 pm: Wash with soap, dry by patting, not rubbing. Cover the area with something like caladryl clear that also contains an anti-itch agent (benadryl, essentially)... and KEEP THE AREA DRY. Don't let clothes rub on the rash - any residual oils you have in the rash could potentially spread from seeping of the rash, especially if you are highly allergic.
