Look in your library for any literature books and look for a book called WRITTING FOR DUMMIES! It's a great book! Good Luck, lemme know how it goes!

Amanda,

Since you mentioned Joyce Meyers, I am going to assume the possiblity that you're a Christian. If that is so, the best place to learn alot about writing and to meet authors is joining Fellowship of Christian Writers. They have a free email yahoo group that has wonderful people of all writing levels. I have been a member for nearly 2 years now and have learned more than I could say. That is only one of many ways to get plugged in. As far as grammar, write;write;and write some more. Courses can help in learning the rules, but applying is what will make you a better writer.

God Bless!

There are ofcourse free online courses you may want to check out. I would do a google search. But if you really want to be sure, go to the nearest college or university and buy an english book. Those are meant to teach. Good Luck.

talk to an english teacher at school, they are great writers and very good at grammar. if it doesnt bother you, take whatever you write to someone else whos good at writing or grammar like a teacher or a good friend and have them give you suggestions, corrections.

i dont really know of anything else, cuz im a HORRIBLE writer, but if i ever looked to improve my writing i think thats what i would do

hope i could be of help, so have fun and hope you get published (and maybe become a famous writer some day)

I don't think you ever REALLY know whether it's just a hobby or you really want to be a writer. I mean, writing to me is a hobby, but I'm working on my third book, along with tons of short stories.
As far as learning more grammar, the best way to do that is to just write. Both my grammar and vocabulary expanded when I started really writing. School, loathe as I am to admit this, actually helps with the whole grammar thing.
If you want to learn how to publish your writing, get a copy of Writer's Market. It's a guide to publishing.
That's the best I can give ya, so I hope this helped!

Seriously, the only way to learn to write, is to write.

Just write whatever.

I'm sure you're saying "I do that already."

Well, keep writting.

Take a creative writting course or two.

Take a lit course, so you can read other works.

There are a few books like Writers inc. that would help.

They teach you how to format, and where to put the proper punctuation.

Ask people to look at what you've written and to proof read it.

Maybe you should focus on your question.

It has a lot of errors.
