slopunkrocker answered Sunday August 1 2004, 12:38 am: Hi! I may be new at this and I may not be too girly but I know how to be myself. Don't wear tons of make-or Don't wear clothes that show too much skin. People always have opinions and you want them to be good and not bad. Wearing a skirt and a skimpy shirt on the first day of school will get you no where. I'm going into 8th grade this year but, my brother and I talk alot about this stuff and he's going to be a jr in high school this year. It's better to be comfortable then looking like some body you arne't if you are into wearing skirts try not to wear a really short skirt. It doesn't have to be down to the floor or your knees but long enough to show you have confidence on not just trying to get attention. [ slopunkrocker's advice column | Ask slopunkrocker A Question ]

JenSparkles answered Saturday July 31 2004, 2:59 pm: It's basically the same as junior high, except you'll want to be comfortable. And, if you want attention, try not to dress like everybody else. Seriously... [ JenSparkles's advice column | Ask JenSparkles A Question ]
hErEtoheLp answered Saturday July 31 2004, 2:36 pm: Alright, highschool isn't going tobe too big of a transaction. Basically, you should wear what you did in Jr. High, there's no need to change. I don't have any different stores that people didn't already name off, except maybe Pac Sun, and Buckle.
When you go to highschool you don't need to act cool, but being outgoing is the BEST way to make friends. You're going to make tons of new friends and probably grow distance from old ones. Just try to keep your group, and make it bigger. Don't be afraid to talk to people, most of them won't bite your head off. And don't be afraid to be different. Dress different, set trends in some sort of way. Just basically to survive highschool don't try to make other people happy, do what you want, and don't forget to have fun. I have some tips...don't try too hard to be "cool" and don't go into school on the first day looking/being overconfident. Stick by a group of people you know so you're not the target for "freshmeat" jokes.
For clothes...if you can afford it, don't shop at Wal-Mart, because I think they have bad quality, Old Navy is a cheap store with cute stuff, and Forever 21 and Rue 21 are GREAT stores, they're pretty inexpensive with nice stuff. If you like ordering off the internet alloy.com has a lot of cute things.
For accesories, I always go to Claires, Claires has really cute things and so does another store they own, Icing, but try and find some jewelry NOT from there because then everyone won't have it, because, at least around here, everyone goes to Claires. For shoes, have at least one pair of sneakers and one pair of heels/boots because wearing the same shoes all year will KILL your feet.
If you have any more questions or just want to talk, email me or IM me on aim =) mizzbr0wneyez17
kevin1986 answered Saturday July 31 2004, 2:04 pm: If you're a girl,it never hurts to get some tight jeans or ones that show off your stomach. Same thing with your shirt, the more he can see the better. If you want some advice about high school, treat people the way you wanna be treated. If everybody fuckin did that,it'd be so much easier. CheerMMS24 answered Saturday July 31 2004, 1:31 pm: Okay, first my suggestion, is don't follow the trend, dress in stuff that YOU like.. not what your friends or your boyfriend likes. But, skirts are cute, like short jean skirts, or short ruffly skirts. Um.. for shirts.. get a wide variety! I Hope I Helped! :)
reflektionofme answered Saturday July 31 2004, 1:24 pm: Fashion tips.. not much. Just if you like something wear it. Dont follow a trend, be who you are. High school tips in general, dont procrastinate. I know we all love doing that, but if you have multiple papers do, It sucks! But most of all have the time of your life. It goes by so quick! Do everything you want and dont let anyone stop you.
