DruidX answered Wednesday July 21 2004, 8:51 am: Well, a mod is someone who helps the admin manage the site. For example, mods can rate and approve questions, suspend users ect. However, you can't just decide to become a mod, you have to have it bestoed upon you, if the admin considers you a decent columnist and responsible person. You can also get to be a mod by rating questions and being an alround good person.
