Okay I'm 5'1 and my weight is 117!!!! Im not really sure if I'm fat. In my clothes I dont look fat n in my bikini I guess i dont either..I mean I dont look super skinny though either. I think I'm fat but my sister and bff say its mostly all muscle which may be true bc i am a dancer (Tap Jazz and Ballet) n I have been dancing for about 5 years. I dont think its muscle though...I really wish i was skinnier but my sister says it would look dumb bc i have a "BIG ASS!!!!" which guys like so its nice but i am REALLLLY insecure about my thighs and stomach..my bff says they look fine n they are all muscle but i still feel REALLLLLY fat...About a month ago i starved myself for 3 1/2 days n i lost 5 1/2 pounds! I would have kept going except my bff basically made me eat..I know that starving myself probably isnt tha best thing to do but its sooo easy and pretty fast. Im not sure what to do at all!! You have been dancing for 5 years!! That builds it up! A lot of my friends are dancers and they are rock walls! But if you feel really insecure about your weight go to your doctor and ask him/her about it! Ask if you are normal and if you are, then work on your self confidence. But if you are a few pounds over, exercise more often, jog for a while every couple of days or lift weights. You might even try aerobic classes (they are fun!! get a friend to do them with you!!!) The only thing you should not do is starve yourself. That`s anerexia. And it`s not that easy. You are depriving yourself of food you really need to survive. You would begin to get really weak and tired all the time, and that would not be easy as you are a dancer.

lots of people weigh a lot more than you, and they try really hard to lose weight. you don't need to lose it at all. 117 at 5"1 is fine. and being a dancer as you are, i'm sure it's all muscle... dancers do some pretty strenuous stuff.
another thing.... never ever ever starve yourself again! you wouldn't know where to stop, and you could get really sick! (take mary-kate olsen for example).
your sis and your bff are right. listen to them!
Your weight is fine for your height. you are NOT fat, and you don't need to lose anymore weight. if you are still worried about it though, just don't gain anymore. keep your weight constant, and you'll be perfectly fine. and if you are STILL worried, take a month and lose 3 lbs in it. 3lbs ONLY. by eating healthy foods and stuff.

PrePpy_n_PinK answered Wednesday July 14 2004, 7:59 pm: wow!! im rite there with u!! i think im so fat! i mean im 5'3 n i weigh like 115-118.. i havent wieghed myself n a while cuz yeah.. my dad made me go on a diet n i cheated on it all the time.. but like today i decieded that i was gunna start eatin less junk n more healthy foods n not as much.. n i do like 400 crunches a day.. i was thinkin bout starving myself but thats deff. not a good idea cuz u can get really weak.. idk if u jus eat when ur hungry or what but thats what i do so now when i get hungry when its not like breakfast lunch or dinner i drink either water or milk.. hope this helps!! xoadorkable11 answered Wednesday July 14 2004, 7:51 pm: okay, well im definately not a dancer but yeah. i don't think that starveing would be the best thing for you too do. you seem to be at the average weight for someone to be 5'1. if you are really that subconcious then you should probably eat healthy and exercise healthy, because you don't want to try to make your body un-healthy in any type of way, and if your a dancer then it wouldn't be the best thing to do. hope i helped. and good luck.
