Ok hun.. heres some great things you can do. Maybe, maybe, maybe if your parents would allow you just ask them if you can redo your room. If no good, here are some cool ways to brighten up a boring room:
1. clean, messy rooms are dull, color coordinate your clothes, its so much easier to pick something out to wear plus its really neat.
2. colleauge different articles or pictures from magazines on the walls
3. Get sparkle spray and make your room *sparkly* in the colors you wish :-D
4. Get cool lights like those chinese lamps that hang from the ceilings or something that goes with your room
5. Always have a good cd in the cd player.. (if you have one) it sets a cool mood to your room
6. Have any white christmas lights? Hang them up around your room. It'll look nice and really cool when the lights are off. If you dont have christmas lights you can buy string lights somewhere...theyre really cool and fun

I'm going to be moving out on my own soon, and this is something I've been trying to decide too. I'm not sure what you're style is, but do make sure to make it something you're comfortable with. Your room is your own little palace.. make it your own! Give it your personal touch. Paint your walls.. get cool wall paper, try colored lighting or cool lamps.. just be creative and be open to things. I'm sure it'll look great. Good luck!! And please let me know how it turns out!! You could try to paint a new color on the walls something that describes you. Also you could go to really cheap stores and buy some thing that can make cool lamp designs or rugs. Anything to make you room YOU!!

Paint it in a cool, unusual color. Paint a mural if you like! Posters are great. Get a cool bed spread because your bed is a major part of your room. Put your own artwork up, if you're an artist, and the artwork from when you were little is great too.

splatter paint. That's what my cousin and I are going to do with hers. Of course, our big plan is to paint it black first and then splatter paint with something that glows in the dark. It's fun because you get to throw balloons of paint I guess...other than that, it's just the 'ol weirdness gene in our blood that causes us to do things like that. You probably think it's a really sucky idea. But oh well, on the behalf of my cousin who isn't here, and myself I suppose, we say it rocks.

Yah my room sucked too, but I got like pics of me from cheer and posters and just lil cute stuff I found from magazines and hung it up on my walls! And I got these fake lil flowers and decorated my room all over with them! Good luck and rate me plz mwah!

I'd first get an awesome wall color. Pick one that COMPLETELY suites you. Excluding white! That really makes the room soo boring unless you get one heckuva colorful bedspread and objects in your room. Put stuff that you know you wont use but want to still keep in the attic. Then get rid of old stuff that you never even liked, broken stuff, and/or junk that just clutters your room and you know you wont use. That just makes the room less cluttered (if that's a problem.) I don't really know just how your room bites, but mine was that it had an old color I liked when I was little, it was cluttered, I had a pretty (but now that I was older I didn't want it) border, and it was just lame to me. So, I painted it a bold and bright color, got a new bedspread with lotsa pillows, got rid of stuff and stored things in the attic, and bought some cute stuff for it! 'Nuff about me though. If I were you, I'd also go to the store and get an awesome poster, or cute pillows to pile on your bed, or a cute clock, or rope lights and attach/staple them to the top most point of your room (where the wall meets the ceiling.) Go out and buy palm tree lights, or paint your room with multi colors! It's seriously endless. If I knew what made your room suck I'd have more to say and suggestions. But that's all I can think of for now. Hope that sparked some ideas! Please rate me!
