I am really white, but i have freckles on my face so every time i go in the sun my frackles seem to get darker but not my skin! i want to go to a tanning salon but iono how much it is, and i heard you could get cancer. should i just put sunscreen on my face then the freckles wont get darker but then i wont get a tan on my face too, what do i do???
Fish answered Thursday July 1 2004, 5:55 pm: Oy. Don't go tanning. It looks unnatural and everybody knows you don't really have that skin tone. See, the skin tone you have is the one you were MEANT to have. If you were meant to have a darker skin tone, you would have been born with it. Be happy with the skin tone you have, tanning makes you age faster anyway. And why do you want to look like an oompa-loompa anyway? Just go be yourself. Why do you want to do something that's dangerous to your health AND pay for it? I'm really pale too. You learn to stop fighting in. Self tanner makes it look like you've got dirt on your face and tanning salons make you look baked. If I was you, I would skip this stupid trend- it'll be gone soon anyway, and just stick with my natural color. Quit trying to be someone else. [ Fish's advice column | Ask Fish A Question ]

xoblondekiss answered Thursday July 1 2004, 1:45 pm: hey gurl.. well you don't nessicarly have to go to a tannnig bed.. You could go to a spray on tan place- and that may make your freckles fade- but im not 100% positive. Spray on tanning places dont have any bad chemicals so you can't get cancer, so try looking up a local place like that and find out the cost.. or if its too much just put suncreen all over. I kno getting tan isnt the easiest thing, but your you for a reason.. * hope i helped [ xoblondekiss's advice column | Ask xoblondekiss A Question ]
accolade answered Thursday July 1 2004, 1:18 pm: everything causes cancer. too much soda, too many flowers in your house, too many electronics... and, too much sun. it's called skin cancer. yep. you have the same chance of getting skin cancer from sitting in the sun, as you do sitting in a tanning booth.
if you want to get a tan and can't, a lot of times it's just your genes. your skin just can't get tanned, but it might be something else too... ask your doctor. [ accolade's advice column | Ask accolade A Question ]
