Try putting a bitter sauce on your fingers to prevent you from sucking your thumb. Maybe it's something that you will just grow out of. Sometimes habits are something that you naturally grow out of as you're older. Sometimes not. But don't feel ashamed...everyone has their own habits. I used to bit my finger nails when I was little but I grew out of it. And now I have long pretty nails. Hehe. Well there are many ways to get you to stop you from sucking on your thumb. You can put hot sauce on it, or you can put a mitten or a sock on your hand. Or you put something you really dislike on it. My cousin had this problem and it worked for him.

hmm..well my frens brother does that to..and they put hot sauce on his finger so he wouldn't do it..u could try that..OR maybe juss keep ur hands occupied (other than sucking ur thumb) so that u don't think of sucking it or are tempted..and always chew on something like gum or maybe try suckin on a sucker so that u can replace the sucker for ur thumb..if that doesnt help i have a ton of other ideas so just hit me up and i'll answer away : )

my brother used to do that, he eventually grew out of it. you probably will to depending on what your age is, if you're young then don't worry about it... you'll grow out of it. if you're older i would suggest trying to figure out a way that would work for ya. Xo

well what i would do is tell all of my friends that wenever i do it to like slap my hand or something or wash your hands with a really bad smelling/tasting soap or antibacterial.. that would probably do the trick .. leave some in my inboxxx if u wanna

You have an oral fixation. I've got the same thing, the only difference I solve my problem by biting my nails and smoking cigarettes. I know, very unhealthy, but I'm trying to stop.
Here's my advice: I've known this to work for many people. My father quit smoking by sucking on Tootsie Roll Pops. I know you're not smoking, but it's the same problem. I quit by chewing gum. It really helps. Consider it.

put a rubberband on ur arm and snap it every tyme you suk ur thumb... when u starts gettin bruises an ur arms.. you miite wanna stop sukin ur thumb..
