Ok, so I like this guy and I wanna tell my mom, but I don't know how she's gonna react, because she overreacts to everything. One time I told her I liked a guy and she grounded me cuz she thought I was going out with him! If I tell her, Im afraid she'll do the same thing again, but I really like this guy and if I don't tell her, there's no way I'll ever be able to date him without her finding out!!!

you dont have to talk to her personally. try writing her a note and passing it under her door while she's watching tv,reading,cleaning, or changing.tell her that you wrote her anote instead of talkin to her personally cuz you were afraid she would over react and you want her to understand exactly what you sayin.say that theres this guy you LIKE,your not dating its just a secret admirer type thing that you havn't actually said anything about. a crush to be clearer. tell her you wanted her to know so you could get permission from her when anything happened and you just wanted her to know about it before hand so shes warned. tell her about the guy and why you like him and how you really hope he likes you too.this ill soften her up and she'll know that you guys aren't already going out.

the best thing to do is just to tell her. If you were to sneak around and she found out or heard it frome some one els then all that is going to do is make things worse. Then she would really get mad. and if the worse thing she could do is ground you then just take the punishment if you really like the guy he should be worth it. But simply tell your mom that you really like this guy and you would like to go with him with out it being a huge deal and that you think you are old enough to have a boy friend. But just remember she just want's the best for you so dont get out of controll.
