hello i recently gave gaurdianship of my son who lives in pa to my ex husband due to my son's behavior i thought it was for the best i still am suppose to see him every other weekend the problem is my ex mother in law she has power of attorney over my ex husband due to his limited mental state now she is taking control of my son and he has been acting up down at her home where they both live she told me that if he does not straiten up he wont be allowed to come here and visit due to the fact that i live around some rough kids i want to know if there is anything i can do legally to make sure i get my rights for a visit rather she likes it or not i dont have and i cant afford a lawyer is there something i can do thru the court myself does anyone know please my son's life is at stake here i need help

She cannot take away your visits just because she said so. She has no say. Is it temporary or permanant guardianship? If it is temporary she can't do anything about anything...I would get your son back and move some where safer. she sounds a bit controlling and over-bearing.

I'm no lawyer but I don't think she can do that. If all else fails go and visit him where he is. It's not quite the same but it's better than nothing.
