honestly. lies, no matter how small, hurt more than the truth. sit down with him and tell him exactly what you do and do not feel for him. he should be hurt but that is expected. all in all, he will understand eventually and respect your openness.

There isn't any way to break up with your boyfriend without hurting him- but the longer you leave it, the worse it will get. Just sit him down and tell him straight out how you feel. Don't be nasty or mean about it, but don't soften the blow either or he'll feel like you're patronising him. Just be honest. Hope all works out.

I'd break it off, short and simple. If your too sweet, he might get a mixed message. But don't be mean or you'll be a bitch. Try:

(Insert name here), it isn't working. I'm sorry, but I don't think I like you as much as you like me. You need someone who can see what an amazing person you are (make it look good for him) and I don't think I'm the right person.

You can't break up with someone who likes you without hurting them, sorry. You need to sit him down and tell him it isn't working. You don't need to outline reasons or feel guilty about it or anything, just do it. Breaking up happens and it's nobody's fault, but the sooner you get it done the less he'll lose out so hurry.
