What the hell are you doing here?

Question Posted Monday February 23 2004, 9:58 am

It is the first time I have viewed Advicenators and I am amazed at the variety of questions asked and the range of ages asking them,in fact some of the questions are very bizarre and I suspect that it is difficult at times to keep your cool.
As you appear to be a versatile level headed person I would be interested in your reply as to why you do it and also as I am over 80 years do you think I could kick start a column for my age group

Maybe give some free advice about: Friendship?

MFS answered Tuesday February 24 2004, 12:12 am:
I do it for a multitude of reasons. Every now and then, someone asks something that either hits close to home, or a topic that really needs answered well - so I try to do as best I can.

I hate seeing people give bad advice, and even worse when it includes misinformation.

You'll note that some of the more "inappropriate" questions, I have few qualms about giving an equally nonsensical or even "happy" answer...

As for a column for people of your age group... why not?
