I've also had a problem with periods that don't stop. It can be caused by a hormonal imbalance, polycystic ovaries, or the wrong birth control pills (leading to hormonal imbalance).

Go to a doctor - preferably a gynecologist. S/he will ask you some questions and help you determine what the best course of action is. S/he *will* do something to stop the bleeding. It does need to stop, or you will eventually get weak and need to go into the hospital. Don't wait that long.

Most likely, you will get put on birth control pills. Don't worry, it will be ok, but you do need to see a doctor. If you can't afford a doctor, call Planned Parenthood.

Don't worry, you are not pregnant. But this does sound like a problem. You should see your doctor as soon as possible, bleeding for that long is unhealthy.

If your period has lasted a month, something is wrong. You should see a doctor. He may put you on birth control pills to regulate your periods. If you are already on pills, it may be the wrong dose for you.

Bleeding is not a symptom of pregnancy. Sometimes sex can cause bleeding if you are near your period.

Anyway, the best thing to do is see your doctor.

It's possible you are having a slow and reluctant period. The longer the blood stays inside you the more it congeals and it will get to a dark color. I doubt you're pregnant unless you have missed a period earlier and now your body is rejecting the pregnancy in a self-abortion. It is very dangerous for you to bleed so long, the least of which is becoming anaemic. Eat some beef, spinach or green vegetables at once, or take Iron vitamins, or you could be at a bad risk from losing so much blood. Call a doctor. My friend had this problem, and she wound up with cysts on her ovaries that may make her sterile for the rest of her life. Get to a medical professional before you get very sick.
