OneMan answered Friday January 2 2004, 1:05 pm: Anything about a relationship that went bad. Try not to bring any of that up. And if at all possible, don't spend alot of time discussing the faults of the other person. Try and share the conversation, ask questions about them as much as you give info about yourself. Try and see what subject makes them feel the most comfortable and try and form the conversation around that. [ OneMan's advice column | Ask OneMan A Question ]
FernGully answered Friday January 2 2004, 11:33 am: Well again, don't vomit, spit, bite or hit them. No one likes that.
Listen to them. Be interested in what they are saying.
rabidweasel answered Friday January 2 2004, 10:18 am: DONT start by asking if hes single that wont work....but i normally would ask about things that can branch off onto another subject like
"do you atch any anime?" which can branch off to "whats your favorite?" to "do you like j-rock/j-pop at all?" basically just talk about things that you know something about dont pick a topic tat you know too much about because that can intimidate whoever your trying to talk to...i know when my girlfriend switches languages in midsentence sure it sounds cool but im left feeling slightly stupid...hoped that helped ^.^ [ rabidweasel's advice column | Ask rabidweasel A Question ]
