this could just as easily been is love life rather than work

Question Posted Monday December 22 2003, 10:17 am

If you want to know the background then go to 'The best way to be a bitch'
Jon pissed me off really rather a lot since then because he would NOT give up at all.

Now Andrew has always been slightly involved in this saga but it just got more complicated.

When I first told him what Jon had said he said 'What would you have done if Bill or I had done it' in a weird way that seemed to be a hint.

Since then we have spent a lot of time sitting talking to each other, and according to some people flirting. We have loads in common and I like him a LOT so it could be true from my part but I'm not sure about him.

The other day he suggested that we should pretend to be dating to get at Jon and I agreed.

What do you think is going on?

What should I do?

Additional info, added Tuesday December 30 2003, 9:05 am:
Ok, maybe I shouldn't have agreed to the plan but it seemed like a good idea at the time.

I have now found out that Jon has been telling people that I've been sending him dodgy phone calls and that he thinks we were genuinely dating.

I spoke to him last night and everyone at work had been taking the piss out of him so he wasn't in the best of moods but I did get a chance to yell at him a little. He's still telling people lies though.

My boss said that he'll try and change the rota so that Andrew and I work together sometimes which would mean that we get the same days off.

I think I'm going to have to talk to Vicky about it( she works with me) because she is the person best placed to find out what Andrew thinks although she's not that subtle. Should I tell her?

People probably won't believe Jon's version of events so you should be OK there.
It's good that you and Andrew'll be working together from now on but surely if you'll be spending so much time with him you can work out for yourself if he likes you.

Whatever answered Monday December 22 2003, 5:02 pm:
I think you have too many guys involved in this thing. You shouldn't "pretend" to be involved with anybody so you could get even with some other guy of yours - It's too childish...unless of course "you ARE" still a child, then go on and play ring around the rosie. You'll soon realized when you've matured that what you're doing now is plain dumb.

I think that you shouldn't just go out with him just to get back at Jon. Or maybe he suggested that because he really wants to be with you and maybe you should try really going out with him! :)

Okay I have no idea what you just said. Calm down and please do tell again. You sound stressed and uncalm.
