my ex and i are very good friends and i have found a new boyfriend. let's call my ex "Chicken" we are very comfortable and open with eachother so i told him about the new guy in my life, who i shall call "Squishy". after, Chicken was very quiet then asked if i love Squishy. What does this mean? he won't tell me.

Probably nothing more than basic male genetic assertiveness. It takes a lot of work to win a female. You lose that mate, no matter what the reasson, you're subconsciously going to be jealous of whoever picks her up.

Just because you two are over doesn't mean Chicken is ready to see you with another man. He isn't jealous of Squishy per se, but he wasn't expecting replacement. He hasn't found someone new yet, and its probably bothering him that you found another man before he found another woman. Just don't shove anything in his face, be quiet about your new relationship, and let him get used to the idea.
