I am 15/f a dancer, 5'7.5 and about 125-130 lbs. I wear a 0-3 in pants and a size small in shirts and a small to medium in leotards for dance.
my problem is when i look in the mirror i see someone who is obese. Sometimes i see myself normal but different mirrors give me different looks.
I would never be able to be anorexic or bulimic because i am deathly afraid of throwing up and i love food and am always hungry :)
how can i improve my body image?
also i am NOT fishing for compliments... i just want some things to tell myself that will help me see myself in a better way.

Hi.. I'm from France, so Iive in a place where there are many, many skinny girls.
I'm 12 years old and I don't like the way I look.. I don't know what to do anymore. I want to get into excersizing, but nobody will help me by telling me like the routines and stuff.. I just want to lose the fat in my face SO SO SO SO much. People keep telling me it's "baby fat", but come on... I'm 12. Why would I still have baby fat if i'm 12?
I just hate the way I look. I'm thinking about starting to starve myself like I used to and count every single calorie I actually eat. If I can't seem to find excersize and a loss of weight, it'll have to come to that :(
I just hate the way I look... Can someone help me?

So at school today I noticed little red spots in my underwear and when I wiped about 1-2 weeks ago my stomach and lower back hurt constantly I was moody and I had Mir discharge than normal am I stating?????

Hello fellow Advice givers!!!
So I really would like to shed off a few pounds. Yes, I am 12, but I just would REALLY be happier weighing less.
I know what you're thinking... "You're too young!" Well, I want to do this for myself; not for anyone else. My best friend is just so skinny, and I want to be that way too (Well not skeleton bone skinny, I just want to shed off a few pounds).
I know the whole "diet" thing. I got that covered. But I'd enjoy excersizing more(No, this isn't me saying that I'm not going to not do the diet). I want to lose weight really fast!!
I want to lose weight mostly on:
-Stomach
-Calves

I saw a "fact" account on twitter, write this:
"Listening to music increases your strength - Your brain is distracted by what you're hearing and doesn't concentrate on what you're lifting"
Now, is there merit to this? Because I replied suggesting that it does not make you stronger, because it is just distracting you. You are only able to lift what your body can, and that distraction is in the mind, and so just related to the perception of strength.
Now of course, if you are distracted, then you may be able to lift more. That may make you stronger in the long term. But I think the tweet is suggesting that at that moment, when you are lifting, the results of...

Hi everyone. I started junior high awhile ago and I just... I don't like my body! This guy (He has gone to school with me since 2nd grade; I was skinny, then fat, then now i'm a little heavy) always says immature things like "Miss Piggy" and all this crap. I'm getting tired of it!
Anyways, I just dislike my body. Not because people call me heavy, but i'm just not happy.
The whole "diet" thing doesn't work well with me. But I don't eat like a chocolate bar everyday or anything. I actually probably eat one every month. I know I should be on a diet, but I just think excersizing would be easier(believe it or not).

I am a 14 year old girl born in may and i am a freshman. i am about "5.2 or "5.3 and i am probably 115 lbs. i am all muscle and im lean. i have A32 breasts and i started my period when i was 12 in February of 7th grade. my dad is "6 ft. and my mom is about "5.2 i was wondering when i will most likely stop growing according to all of that info? and how tall will i most likely be?? my feet have stopped growing and i am a 7.5 shoe size.thanks!

I gained about 17 pounds this summer since I was away and i really need to lose it ASAP. Because I dont want to start school chubby. :( what are some exercises I can do to help me and for how long? I hate running haha. Thats something I really hate. But anyway my friends and I wanna go bike riding like maybe an hour or 2, 3 or 4 times a week would be cool. What does biking help? I mean I know it's strengthens your legs but is that all? And what are some good foods I could eat? Any thing is helpful really! I stopped all the junk foods. And im trying to get myself to exercise a bit. I am really committed to loosing this weight. Thanks everyone!

Ok so I'm 110 lbs right now. I was 100 about 1 month ago but then I started doing more and more core and upper body workouts. I play soccer and preseason starts in 2 weeks and we'll be doing A LOT of running. I'm so meticulous about my weight. I want to be back down to 100-104 lbs. How can I stayed toned with muscle but lose like 6 lbs? Should I do cardio then core workouts or vice versa? Your help is greatly appreciated!!

I pretty much understand the whole weight loss thing. My question is about calories.
Now everyone (including myself) always says that you need to burn more calories than you consume to lose weight. This seems pretty straight forward, but does that actually mean:
You eat 2500 calories a day
You need to burn AT LEAST 2501 calories to start to lose anything?

I'm female. 5'9 and 140 lbs. I have always wanted to be a model but I know you have to be a dress size 2. I am a 6. I know it's mostly because I have big thighs and legs. I have a tiny waist area. I have been doing Pilates and working out to lose some of the fat in my thighs. But I'm worried I am just toning up my thighs and they wont get smaller! I run a mile or two every day along with my workouts and I am trying to eat clean. So will I just lose the fat in my thighs and butt first or am I just toning my legs up?? Please help!!

I am asian. And as everyone know, all asian people have a flat nose. Well, beside korean people. I'm vietnamese. Vietnamese people are smaller and flatter nose. I've been taking care of my nose. I pulled my nose outward and up everyday but it does not help. I know i should be very happy how God created me. And i am very thankful for how i look. But, i just wanna know if milk does anything for you nose bone. Anyone know? I just want my nose to have a little lift. Thank you. Oh, also, does excercising alot help grow a couple inches when at age 23? Im dying to know.

I was very active and very in shape up until three years ago. I started eating junk food and constantly drinking soda. It has gotten to the point where I will actually go up town more than once a day to buy soda and chips. My stomach has become quite round and my rear end gotten huge as have my thighs. I was wondering what I could do to stop drinking soda and eating junk food. I don't need any help with exercise, I just need to know how to stop the constant snacking. Thanks in advance!
