I was wondering what you thought do you feel it is really that big of a deal nowadays to have a nude image of yourself online not a sexual one but like just of yourself nude on a beach or similar?
Even if it is just a picture of your body on a beach that is something that should only be shown with your significant other. It is definitely not a good idea to post suggestive content of your self viral for every person in the world to see. [ Jasmine23's advice column | Ask Jasmine23 A Question ]
Danicus answered Wednesday March 23 2016, 4:03 pm: Sounds like you want to do it. The main thing I would say is the consequences. Meaning what your friends/family/enemies/boss/coworkers will think. Though, depending on your job, this might not be a good idea. Also, future boyfriends/husbands/kids. Might be weird for them to know what you have naked pictures of you floating around the internet and that you willingly put them there.
Have you thought of WHY you want to do this? Consider all possible scenarios and consequences. There's plenty of naked people on the internet and nobody cares, so its not a big deal to others. Just the ones close to you and those I mentioned above. Also, be at least 18 if you decide to do it. [ Danicus's advice column | Ask Danicus A Question ]
IchigoMidorikawa answered Wednesday March 23 2016, 3:23 pm: If you're comfortable with it, then roll with it :) Depending on where it's posted, it could violate some sites' policies but I see nothing wrong with it unless YOU aren't cool with it. Let the managers of the site know if that's the case. I hope this helped :) [ IchigoMidorikawa's advice column | Ask IchigoMidorikawa A Question ]
NinjaNeer answered Tuesday March 22 2016, 9:54 pm: I think it all depends on your situation individually.
Much as it's not a big deal in my personal opinion, people have lost their jobs over unearthed nudes. I would suggest that if a nude is posted, first off that you're over 18, that you make sure there are no identifying details and that it's not connected to any alias that's connected to your real life identity. It all depends on your field of work and your own personal values. [ NinjaNeer's advice column | Ask NinjaNeer A Question ]
Lisette77 answered Tuesday March 22 2016, 2:34 pm: I think these days it is very common to see these types of photos online . I think it can be a big deal depending on where you are or where you are going in your life. There are celebrities that do this but I would say that for them sometimes their positions call for it or they just feel like knocking down stereotypes about body image. If you are in your teens it's probably too soon for something like this and it depends on how it's done. Our bodies are beautiful but there are ways of photographing it to make sure the message is received in a non sexual way.
Unfortunately if you are very young, it gets sexualized no matter how hard you try.
I think whether it is a big deal or not also has to do with the intention of your photo.
There is a lot to think about but just remember once it's out there is no way of getting that photo back. People start copying and sharing right away. So if you have to think twice you probably aren't ready. [ Lisette77's advice column | Ask Lisette77 A Question ]
Razhie answered Friday March 18 2016, 9:00 am: That's entirely a personal question.
I don't think it should be a big deal. I think we'll probably have a President of the United States in the next 20 years who has a naked picture out there on the internet. Smart phones just changed the world like that. I don't think anyone should ever lose a job, or be taken less seriously because of any of those sorts of photos—whether they are sexual or not.
However, I know people are taken less seriously because of those photos and that it can be used by bullies and can be hurtful, so I can understand why someone would be upset by having those photos out there. [ Razhie's advice column | Ask Razhie A Question ]
