im 14, 5'7" weigh 165, athletic, mature for my age. Im going into high school and so far my summer has been okay. i think that being able to wear a bikini to pool parties or on vacation would make my summer great. so i need to loose 15 to 20 pounds. i am very strong and willing so im up for any suggestions BUT it is very hard for me to diet trust me im always sneaking something and i never stick to plans. And when i try it doesnt last long at all. So please help me with an exercise plan that doesnt require a change of diet AND WORKS. Thank you! (link)

If you are athletic, your weight will be higher than average because more of it is muscle. Thats good because muscle BURNS FAT 24/7!
Running is good. And if you have a pool available, long slow swims are great for burning calories. High rep exercises done with low weights to failure are good. Don't be afraid to build muscle becuase it adds shape to you and burns fat. Forget the scale. Use the mirror and tape measure to chart progress.

Me and my boyfriend have been dating for two years now. We've been having since since the second month. I've only ever been on top maybe 3 or 4 times. I don't know why, but I feel wierd in this position. I feel like I can't move. Or I don't know how to. It's really embarrasing because I feel like he's always doing the work. Having the woman on top is great. You can look at her beautiful face, play with her perfect breasts and she can control depth and speed! You will have to get your body fat very low for definition. Those guys watch every bite they put in thier mouths because it's thier livelihood to look good. And workout heavy and hard to build the muscle, not so much size but density. When your work abs, do leg raises or situps or crunches TO FAILURE three times in a day and then rest them next day.
No pain, no gain!

so I'm 16/f and i go to the gym. i'm starting to go regularly. I eat normally and in small amounts so that's really not an issue. i want to tone my legs and make them slimmer. but i don't know whether the treadmill could do a better job at that or whether i should grow muscles on the workout machines instead. what burns fat faster? running or stretching/lifting weights? same goes for arm flab. sometimes i don't have enough time to go and lift weights..so i run instead.and i dont know whether or not im wasting time when i could get a more effective workout by lifting weights instead.

You need to use weights or machines with light resistance. Squats are great for thighs and butt. Calf raises will put a nice curve in your lower leg. To build muscle you need to do low (8-12) reps to failure with what ever weight that takes for you. To lose fat, do higher reps to failure with low weights, and add swimming if you can.
The plain old pushup is a girls best friend. Works back of arms and firms chest. Do three times a day to failure. Do all you can on your hands and toes then when you can't do any more that way drop to your knees and geep going as long as you can!

Anyone who has ever lost weight succesfully is welcome to answer this, though if anyone has specialised knowledge,I'd find that especially helpful. Basically, there's a wedding in three weeks that I want to trim up for-I want to lose about 6lb, and also to tone up a bit.At the moment, I'm doing around 40 sit ups a day(20 in the morning, 20 in the evening) and gradually building the number up (to maybe about 70 a day?) What sounds good?) I want to tone up stomach, thigs and upper arms(I'm also following a diet plan).
Any tips and advice, both general and body -part - specific would be very helpful! Thanks in advance! (link)

You need to burn calories to lose weight and reduce food intake. Running is good or any other aerobic activity. Up the intensity of your workouts (Do situps to failure each time instead of stopping at a fixed number. Alternate with leg raises to failure (keep your lower back down tight to the floor to avoid strain) Do that three times in a day and then let the abs rest 24 hrs and work a different part the next day! Do squat thrusts or anything that gets your heart rate up for several minutes. Swimming is good as is jogging.

Hey guys! Okay so I'm a in shape kinda girl. I do tons of sports, but I have a lower stomach fat. Like my upper stomach is flat, but then I have that little fat. I would like to my my whole stomach flat. What could I do to get that little fat to be flat? lol thank you!!! =D

You could do leg raises, but keep your back down tight to the floor while you do them to avoid strain. If you have a bar, you can hang and do leg lifts either with straight legs or with bent knees. You can also do a "planck" hold where you get in pushup position except with your forarms flat on the floor and see how long you can keep your body straight. There are variations on this one with one arm or one leg or in a sideways position that works the oblique muscles. What ever you do, do it to total muscle failure and then let the muscle rest for 24hrs.
You didn't say your height/weight, but try dropping 5 lbs and I bet you will see a difference too!

18/m I've never had a girlfriend before,
And I've been hangin out with this girl basically twice a week for 2 months, and I really like her, and she likes me (we talked about us a few weeks ago).

Do I ask her out? We've been going to the movies, the park, and some of her active interests, but they weren't really dates, I guess.

You could ask her if it is ok at an appropriate moment after you have both had a nice date and you told her you really like being with her.
Or you could kiss her casually first on the neck, cheek or forhead to sort of "break the spell" of a first kiss and see how she responds!
PS On your first kiss don't use your tongue unless she does first!

I agree with the other two answers. Burn calories and rduce food intake to lower your body fat. But keep working the abs hard too so they will show when the fat comes off.
As far as other exercises, you can do leg lifts. Keep your lower back sucked down tight to the floor when you do these. If you cant, then do them with knees bent. Do them slowly and go for a burning sensation in the abs/thighs till you can't keep going.
Also holding a "planck" position works the abs. This is like pushup position except your forearms are flat on the floor and your body is straight. Eventually as your abs get tougher and stronger you will be able to do several minutes.

Ok i am a 15 yr. old female who loves to be active. I usually run cross country but i decided that i would take a year off. But i have realized that i am gaining a little bit of weight and i don't like that. I am used to being quite thin. I play soccer and i would like to improve my skills there. But going out and playing soccer all day isn't going to cut it. I also have a short attention span. I do 250 crunches/situps every night. What would be an appropriate workout for me to do everyday. Add squats, pushups and leg lifts. Also for endurance, practice holding a Planch (like the top of a pushup) for as long as you can, adding a few seconds each time. Add chinups or pullups too, even if you can only do partial reps at first

Do squats! Work up to 50 reps non stop with just bodyweight, then add some weight in a backpack and work up to 50 again.
Go for it. Buns of steel are in your future! Also you will be able to kick that stupid boyfriends butt for making such comments!

if i run , not like sprint more like jogging, like 30 minutes a day and like jump around on the trampoline and eat no more than 1500 calories a day could i lose 40 pounds by sept.
&how do you get rid of the flab like under your arm, like would jogging help and like get rid of it.
if not tell me how.
and like i have to eat 5 small meals a day so i already do that.

Plain old pushups are one of the best for firming back of arms. You should do at leats 50 reps every other day. If you can't do all at once, do as many as you can, rest a couple minutes and then as many more as you can till 50. If you have to, do them on your knees instead of toes at the start. Of course diet will help lose the fat also, but at least having some muscle there will make it jiggle less! They also firm your chest which most girls don't mind either

I just learned that my dog of twelve who is a chocolate lab is going to be put to sleep. My mom died when i was younger, and he was like my memory of herr.. she loved that dogg. I wanna spend my last few days with him doing something.. but he has cancer. It hurts for him to walk, and he won't eat. I don't know what to do. I haven't been myself.. and i don't like that.. what else should i do?

Please don't think you are doing your dog a favor by prolonging the end. All animals instinctually try not to show pain or weakness, so the dog may be suffering more than you think. If you are religious, then perhaps you believe your dog will be reunited with your mom in heaven.
I have had several Siberial Huskies. The natives in Siberia have a saying that if you befriend a Husky, he will wait for you at the gates to heaven to pull you through! Who knows what your lab might be able to do? Sorry about your loss. As others have said stay close and talk to your dog at the end. It will be good for both of you.

Pushups will develop the pectorial muscles under your breasts, which will push them up and make them look firmer and larger. Do three sets of as many as you can do every other day. rest a couple minutes between sets, but go all out for max slow even reps each set. If you can't do at least 10 regular ones, start out doing them on your knees instead of your toes.
These also work to firm the back of your arms.
