Q: i don't wear much make up except quite thick eyeliner (im not gothic though). i have really pale skin and i haven't been able to find foundation or concealer to match my skin tone. the closest match i have found is avon creme to powder foundation but even this makes me look like i have orange splodges on my face in certain light.

i dont want to spend more than £10 and i live in england - i dont want to have to buy over the internet, mail order and telephone order are ok though. please give actual products not just brands and where i can find them to look at on the net or the high street. if what you tell me doesn't help me i won't rate high just to be nice, i will rate you fairly though.

Q: My brother and I dont have the greatest relationship in the world. I just turned 16, and he will be 12 very soon. the reason we dont get along is that we lose patience with each other, or we just want to annoy one another. I love him very much, i dont know if he loves me, but we do get along from time to time. this is just some background information.

Ok, so my brother is homeschooled, and was homeschooled for three years. he is in sixth grade. I am homeschooled too, for four years, but i am gonna go to school next year for my junior year. (i am in 10th grade right now).i am an extremely social person and all of my friends go to school.

well, everybody know that homeschoolers can turn into these wierd kids, ones that dont know how to socialize, etc. well, my brother is a bit behind on the maturity level.

the reason this worries me is that both of us are going to go to school next year. My brother (who wil go on to middle school, seventh grade) will have a great shock at how much more mature, or umm... different, everyone else is from him. i am afraid he wont find any friends, and that he will be the outcast and miserable.

in my opinion, his maturity level is that of a 3rd grader. his social skills are that of a first grader. these are some of the things he does:


he has a stuffed animal of an whale that he gaurds with his life, takes it with him everywhere, but he leaves it in the car when he goes to public places. he named the toy whailey.

he plays with legos, bionicles, etc. he is actually pretty advanced at building things.. my mom buys him kits made for adults sometimes: he is very smart. school smart.

he cries. a lot. it is EXTREMELY easy to make him cry.

he has no idea what sex is. (he knows what reproduction is, but only "a baby forms when sperm from a man meets an egg from a woman". thats as far as it goes)

he insists on wearing his jeans at his belly button.

he is greatly apalled when someone swears. then he runs to me and asks me if the word was a swear word, and becomes obsesed with retelling everyone how someone swore, etc.

he cannot talk on aim. like he doesnt get the concept of lol, all he can do is say the sky when you ask him wuts up (very clever... for a preschooler)



anyways you get the picture. i am really truly worried about him. i tried discussing it with him but he just doesnt get it. usually he throws a tantrum before i get to finish.

he does socialize, although not very much. like he is exposed to only five or six people a day that are his age: he does gymnastics, and they are the same people every day, and he is not exactly close friends with them. (they are actually ten to elleven years old)




anyways, what should i do about my brother to help prepare him for social situations at school? i will not be geting any support from my mom because she believes that he is school smart, and that is all that counts. in fact she sees nothing wrong with my brother. i dont know about my dad, but it would be rather akward approaching him on the subject.

at home treatments please (lol but we both have busy schedules and doing things like get togethers for him is out of the question)


oh ya i forgot to say. all my friends little brothers are alot more mature than my brother, so i do have something to base my comparison on.

Q: Okay. So I'm an 18 year old (almost!) 2nd year Graphic Design student and my rents are giving me my own design studio for my 18th bday present. I am so excited and all the happy stuff and emotions, BUT I have no idea how to decorate the interior.

I wish I had the time to go on sites and research about different interior decors and all that, but I honestly don't have the time since I'm attending this design conference now and everything's so hectic and busy.

Q: Alright, well it seems that my boyfriend has sort of mood swings and I am used to them. I mean, one day he will be all excited to talk to me and the next he basically doesn't he even wanna communicate at all. Even when he doesn't he still would contact me somehow during the day. Well anyway, so yesterday I was looking forward to talking to him near the end of the night and he had yet to come on/call me. So I waited and waited but still nothing. Now either he didn't want to talk to me or he was too busy playing with this one game .That game he started getting into online and it basically is slowly starting to take over his life. It's almost like he chooses that over everything else and makes me feel like some third wheel. And to a game, it's really unfair. I might be overreacting but I need to know. And should I call him or text him today?

Q: English is not my first language (it's my 4th, in fact) but I don't I'll have trouble getting my point across.

I'll turn 18 on the 28th of March. But here's the deal: I don't know how to throw a party. Last year, only 4 out of 20 people showed up...So I'm in deperate need of advice here.

Thing is, I won't be in the country for my birthday. I will be somewhere abroad for a field trip with my university. I will return back home on the 29th (afternoon). I want to relax for the rest of that day then throw an awesome party/gathering the day after. BUT I have not idea what to do...my taste in music sucks, I don't want to celebrate it at home where my family will most likely be to embarass me like every year, and I don't want it to be boring...

More details: I've 10 people that I want to invite, boyfriend included, no family members, car/transportation is available, money is not an issue, party can 'last' for more than 24 hours (since it's my day [basically] and I get to stay out till whenever)

If party starts at home then ends up somewhere outdoors, that's fine too. I just don't wanna spend it at home and only home.

Q: Normally I get 8-10 hours sleep...but recently I've been goin to sleep at 12 and 1 and gettin up 6 or 7 am. Today I realised I got those black pouches under my eye. I forgot what you call them...but i need to get rid of it. Futhermore...I'll be using this pattern more often to stdy for test...what to do to get rid of them???

Q: Before christmas a friend of mine said he loved me, i told him the same thing. But i didnt want to start a relationship as he lives in America and i dont want it based on just words. Hes says hes coming over to see me again soon. I told him that it cant be until June as i have alot of things on. I havent spoken to him in 2 months and i have no idea why. I've been really down because of this so i made a choice the other day to forget him and lose all contact with him because i think hes messing with my head and it seems to be working. I left him a message on yahoo to let him know that Im deleting yahoo then for the first time in 2 months he comes online. This made me think i was right.

Q: So my History teacher gave me a 0/200 becuase my neightbor copied off of my paper. She is one of my best friends, and I completely understand why the teacher gave us both 0s. What I don't get is that I let her copy because she was absent. We had to take notes on a video and she missed the video so I let her copy my notes. When we turned them in we both got complete 0s. I'm well aware that copying is wrong, and me being the one she copied from understands because if I did all the work while all she did was copy, I wouldn't ever let her copy. But the fact of the matter is that she was absent and I wanted to let her have the notes. (She's the teacher that doesn't allow make up ANYTHING.) I am going to talk to this teacher about maybe changing the grade, or asking for some extra credit to make up the score, but do you have advice on how to talk to her about this?

Q: Ok, so I am 17/f and I was with this guy from 8th grade until April of last year, so for 2 and a half years we were together. When we broke up it broke my heart, we continued talking and I have a strong bond with his mother and his siblings, so we have remained in touch. Well the other night we were hanging out and he we were driving and he said to me the 3 reasons why we never lasted as a couple, he said because I play around too much, I ask too many questions and because I hit him once. So I was thinking that maybe if I stop doing those things he would take me back, because he was saying all kinds of things to me last night that he hasn't said to me since we were dating, like he kept calling me beautiful and pretty and gorgeous so I was wondering, does it sound to you like I have a chance if I change my ways a little??? Also he decided just to start telling me all kinds of things he likes, and what he doesn't like. It was very random, but he kept telling me like what he likes when girls do and what he doesn't like, what do you guys think????

Q: I have this friend, and I've known her for... my whole life, however I'm not sure how much I can trust her with things, because I don't feel like her friend sometimes. I feel as if I'm second best; a last resort. If I'm there, I'm always there: reliable as always. It's like she considers me around to serve a purpose, and once that purpose is gone she doesn't want me any more. I need to know how to communicate this to her, and not make her angry/annoyed with me, and make her think I'm just being harsh and overly sensitive.
