Me and my girlfriend are going to Hershey Park this coming up Wednesday and well since a child she has been scared to go on roller coasters that have big drops becuase she gets sick. Does anyone know of a pill or something that can relax you or make you not get sick after rides? (link)

dramamine (sp?) it is for people that get motion sickness. I dont know about for a roller coaster, but for people who get car sick or airplane or boat sick, it works. You can just buy it over the counter at a drug store.

Hi everyone!
So this year, i graduated and all my friends are going different places, so i made this memory box for my best friend. It has a shirt in it with our picture on the front, and all our memories on the back. It has a photoalbum full of pictures of us, some rocks from an adventure we went on, a friendship bracelet, and a stuffed animal that we used as our campaign for class president. And theres the menu to our favorite resturant. But i feel like its missing somthing. Any ideas? Its a shoe box, and theres already a picture of us glud to the front. did the 2 of you write notes to eachother in school? If so, and you still have them, make a copy of them to put in there. I saved all of my notes from high school and it's fun to read them years later.

So I was looking at this portfolio of a piercer in my area, because I'm looking for a place to get my nose pierced...
And like it's just pictures of different piercings that she's done...
And I came across this surface piercing one...and I'm sort of fascinated by it. I like how it looks and I think I might want to get it done.

How painful does that look though? And it seems kinda dangerous being so close to the spinal nerves...
Have any of you had this done or know someone with it done?
My questions are:
1. Was it really painful? Like how much more did it hurt than a navel piercing? Also, I'll probably get my nose done first...so how much more did it hurt than your nose?
2. Do you know if it's dangerous at all being close to the spine like that?
3. If it is really painful...do you think that taking some strong pain relievers before hand will help with the initial piercing pain? And on that note, do you think that will help when I get my nose done too?

for the surface piercing they just pierce through the skin, there wont be any problems with nerves or anything, just make sure you go somewhere where thay have done those a lot before just to be safer. Honestly, I dont think it would hurt much at all, since it's just skin. It will probably just feel like a belly piercing or eyebrow, I have had both of those and didnt hurt at all, just a little pinch.

Okay so I have some questions about piercings.
I'm seriously contemplating a nose piercing, on my left nostril. I just want like a tiny rhinestone. The thing is, the place that I work at is supposed to be "family friendly" and there's a dress code about jewelry. Females can only have 1 earring in each ear and males can only have 1 earring total. No facial piercings.
My question is: if I were to get it pierced, is there some sort of clear thing I could pierce it with initially, because I know it has to be in there 24/7 while it's healing. Then when it's fully healed, I could just switch to the clear one while I'm working?
I know like for navels the clear ones are always flexible, but those are meant for if the piercing is already healed....can it be a flexible ring while it's still healing? Or are the clear ones for noses even flexible?
And, if it's clear is obviously not made of the surgical steel stuff they usually use for piercings...is that going to be unsafe for my new piercing?
I really want to get it pierced but I can't quit my job...so will this work? Or does it HAVE to be pierced with metal? (link)

my friend got her nose pierced and couldnt have it at work. You cant get it pierced with a clear one, they will use the surgical steel and tell you not to take it out for so long, but my friend switched it the next day to a plastic one, but just for work. When u get home, put the other one back in. It might be a little sore but as long as you keep it clean it will still heal good.

Im gaining so much weight from taking "the pill" so anyone or anybody kno any diff type of birth control method that doesn't make u gain weight and makes u have fewer menstrual periods? Please need help asap!

DO NOT get the shot OR take Loestrin24!!! The 2 worst ever. I didnt get the shot but I know someone who did and gained a TON of weight. I did however take Loestrin24 for 1 year and gained 40 lbs. I'm just so mad it took me that long to know what was causing the weight gain.

okay so i had unprotected sex the 4 of june. my period started about 5 days before that and continued 3 days after. What i would like to know is if i really did get pregnant (on the 4th) would i still have had my period for the rest of those 3 days or would it have stopped??

you probably didnt get pregnant. I went to the doc to get a 72 hr pill before, and when I said I had ended my period the day i had sex, she said it's very unlikely that i could have gotten pregnant. It is possible though, but not likly.

Ok, I know obviously, not to go to a nail salon to get my pretty parts waxed. So would I take myself to like a hair salon? And if I want EVERYTHING waxed off, that's a brazilian wax, right?

yes it is a brazilian wax, but not all salons do that. You can just call some in the phonebook and ask them if they do brazilian waxing. Or you can look online for places that do.

I find it really difficult to shave my bikini area, because it seems like all the hair is growing in different directions, and I always get little bumps even if I use a brand new rasor. I just cant get a close shave- which is weird because I have no problem having a close shave on my legs. So, my question is, you know that "Nair" stuff? like the spray on, rinse off and hair is gone stuff? I was wondering if you cound use that on your bikini area. Is it made to do that? Has anyone done that before and can tell me if it works or not? Any info about the usage of "Nair" is appreciated. Thank you! (link)

I have used Nair before, and honestly it sucks. It just doesnt work that good for me, and that was when i used it on my legs. Your pubic hair is a lot thicker, and the thicker the hair the less it works.

I just shave upwards, and against the way the hair is growing. Like on your legs the hair grows down, so u shave up. But I have no idea how to get it to not be red and itchy. Because of this I only shave like once a week. It sucks because I wish it could be as smooth as legs after you shave them. If i hear any advice i'll let you know, and in the meantime hopefully someone can answer that on your question! :)

I want my tongue pierced really badly. Ive been thinking about it for quite awhile and I like to research what I pierce (13 piercings)... So a few questions about this piercing.
1) What is the difference between 14, 12, and a 10 ga?
2) Can I get it pierced just at the tip and not the center?
3) What is internally threaded jewelry?
4) How much does it swell?
5) How long until I can use my mouth as normal? Like drinking alcohol, eating, making out, anything sexual... [hahaha]?

I got my tounge pierced the day I turned 18! And to tell you the truth, it doesnt hurt nearly as bad as you think it would. I have gotten my eyebrow, lip, belly button and nipples pierced and the tounge is one of the least painful. lip and nipples the worst! My tounge swelled up a little bit the second day, but after that it went down. I even talked to my mom afterward and she never even noticed! 14 guage is going to be the smallest out of the 3, with 10 being the thickest. Get 14, that is the normal size and almost all tongue rings are a size 14. Thie first 3 days you are going to want to take it easy on what you eat, like really soft foods and soup. It feels more awkward than painful to get started on normal food. You can drink alcohol right away! But NOT beer. It has yeast so you can get a yeast infection in your tounge, doesnt sound to pleasent. But like me, i love beer, so I drank it with a straw to bypass the tongue, then used mouthwash right after. Never had any problems. when you look under your tongue, see the thing that connects it to the bottom of your mouth, well where it meets your tongue about an inch away from the tip, is where u want to get it pierced. The piercer will know the right spot. Getting the tip done will cause problems with your front teeth, and chip them probably, but lots of guys or lesbians get it pierced there, for you know what reasons. If you are not a guy or a lesbian, get it done farther back. Good-luck and you will love it!

I agree with askkay, thats how i do it. But I get red bumps and it itches and is sore until the hair grows back a little bit, and I cant keep it smooth because of the bumps and it hurts to shave soon after. so we need some advice on this problem too if it happens to other too. :)

I hit someone before when I was drunk. then I kept driving because i didnt wanna get caught. The person followed me to my apartment, got out of his car and started yelling at me. I ran inside and didnt come back out, even when the police were banging on my door. I was scared because I wasnt even 21 yet, so i would have gotten an MIP, went to jail for the night, and got an underage DUI. My car was towed because I ignored the cops. The next day i had to go talk to the cop and get my car released, but by then I was sober so they had no proof I had been drinking. I got charged with a hit and run, only a 100 dollar fine. It was scary none the less but I have never got in a car drunk again! I dont want to take a chance of something worse happening.

i don't know how to explain this, but i can't remember what happened. all i can say is that the top of my top behind my teeth or whatever... there's like a little bump i should say, it feels swollen/biten i don't know something like that. and everytime i eat or drink something and it touches it, it hurts. when i brush my teeth and my upper mouth it hurts cause i brushed over it. is there any way i could heel it or something? is it right behind your top 2 front teeth? If so, i know what you mean. When I eat pizza and the sauce is too hot it burns my mouth right there from biting into it. It feels sore and swollen and irritated and takes a few days to go away. If it isnt gone in a few days ask the dentist or doctor like the other person said

honestly, if you listen to advice about kissing you will probably end up doing it all wrong. I was nervous my first kiss and didnt know what to do, but use the guy as a lead, thats what they like to do anyway. you can get the feel of it by how he does it, and then u react the right way. I just comes natural, so dont stress and try too hard of you might end up with a stiff tounge and that is even worse!

Hey! i would like to put my hair up in a pony tail...but my ears stick out and i don't like that! I only wear my hair up when i'm home. But my friends get upset b/c i never wear my hair in a different style to skool, everyday, it's down! Well sometimes i would love to put my hair up but i don't like my ears!!! What should i do?!?! i tried sleeping on my side and put pressure on my ear to make it go flat....idk! I just don't like my ears. you can put your hair up in a way that it is messy, but cute. that way you can leave some pieces down and will take away attention to your ears.

i know you will just be like "oh, it doesn't matter" and "people who really care won't care" but i do care. i'm a teenager, and i care what other people think and all of my friends have them. i'm underweight and short, but so is my friend who's the same age as me and she's even more underweight than i am, but she has boobs. and her mom is flatchested, and she doesn't have a sister. my mom's kind of flat-chested, but she said she started getting boobs when she was my age. and i have none. if i gain weight, do you think i'll get boobs? because people alot thinner and smaller than me, but the same age, even have bigger boobs than me. it's not like i'm anorexic, i eat what i want when i'm hungry until i'm full. i don't make myself puke or anything stupid like that. i eat really healthy, too.
also, people that eat junk food seem to have bigger boobs, is that true? (link)

dont make yourself gain weight just to get boobs, because then u might end up with a weight problem later on. Dont worry that you havent developed yet. When I was 13 I didnt have boobs yet and all of my friends did. Now, I have bigger boobs than them. No body is the same, everyone develops differently, so dont stress about it, just give it time.

I'm 19 years old, and have been dealing with depression since I was eight. I don't have insurance or anything, and I know that I need medication for it. So, can anyone tell me how much depression medication will be without insurance?

Some places like walmart and target have a program for certain medicines where it might only be $4-$10 with no insurance. But I am on medicaid and it is only $1 with the insurance. Check out your county FIA (family independence agency), that is where you can get medicaid through. As long as you are 18 and dont make too much money you should be able to get on it.

I was about 1 month pregnant when I found out that I was. The night before I got wasted. Nothing bad happened and my son is perfect and healthy. I still wouldnt recommend it, but I dont think it can do much harm early on. the whole month i was pregnant and didnt know I was drinking a lot. So honestly one night shouldnt hurt, just dont over due it or drink more than one drink from now on at a time if you are.

thanks for the advice. but i should hav included that my parents already know about cutting but they dont think i do it any more. and im not sure if i even want to stop, like i know that its bad to do it but it takes so much to stop. ive tried to stop before and it wasnt as easy i thought it would be, it turned out i just started doing it more. ive also tried talking to a psycologist and then i refused to go back because he was really creepy. but now my mom thinks i should go see the psyciatrist she saw.i know that i cant stop with out help but im scared that people on my cheerleading team will talk about it and tell my coach and i could be kicked off the team because we cant start a lot of drama or we will be kicked off the team (which for high school cheerleaders its impossible to not start drama) soo im still screwd (link)

why would people on the team talk about it? Don't tell them. If they happen to see the scars and start shit about it, just ignore them, tell them it is none of their business and if they start the drama, tell your coach that people are talking about your personal business to everyone and that is not right. Them maybe they will get kicked off the team.

Ever since we moved closer to my family in Indiana my mom never lets me see them. I went this weeked to see them for the first time in like 3 months. I only get to see my dad like two days every 3 months. She won't let me go see him ever. he had to argue with her just to let me stay father's day with him. I have to go straight home after that. She says i have to work...I don't even had a job! She has nothing against my dad i used to stay with him for months at a time before and noiw i barley see him at all. What can i do i feel caged. She does that with my friends to and she now she does it because i've talked to her about it. She just won't let me do anything because she wants me at home with her. What can i do. (link)

Maybe you mom is afraid of losing you. Does anyone else live with the 2 of you? She might be lonely and afraid that you will like being at your dads more, and will want to live there again. Or afraid that your friends will take up all of your free time and then where does that leave her? She should let you do more, and shouldn't shelter you to the outside world. I don't really know what to tell you to do about it, but you can always keep try talking to her and let her know how you really feel. good-luck
