ok. i pluck my eyebrows, and it leaves like a mark of some kind, that shows that i pluck my eyebrows. it's like, a lighter shade of my color. how can i get rid of this?
No, that has nothing to do with it. It's lighter because that part of yourgace was covered with hair and therefore doesn't get tanned like the rest of your face. When that hair is removed, it's really noticeable. Just keep your face in the sun for a while or put on a little bronzer right there if you're cautious about sun safety.
i used to see these shirts around but i never see them anymore.. the have like rips right across the chest and its like a tight shirt.. i dont knnow how to explain it but if anyone knows what im talking about, do you know where to get it?
I know exactly what you're talking about, in fact, I had one just like it (Until I lost it) They don't sell those anymore because they're out of style in most places. What's in are the 80's look.
see i have a big problem im good at talking to people about there problems and they like talking to me but im not really good at talking about my feelings when they get really badn i mean talking baout boys is ok and things like that. but i found out recently my friend has cancer and isnt going to be alive much longer this persons haveing a really hard time and it jurts me so much i think about this person everynight and i cry to myself at night the person kinda had a heart attack the other day adn i feel that its a warning that this person wont be with me much longer they thought about ending there life and there was nothing i could do i was up all night in tears afraid that when i woke up they wouldnt be there anymore and this person means so much to me and sure its hard to deal with loosing the person but i guess i just need to have faith but its tearing me up inside i hide it from everyone. i know its not good to keep this all inside becasue its takeing me over but its so hard to talk about ive only told one person about the least bit that the person only had cancer and i stopeed at that maybe im just afraid to open up and face that im going to be in a great deal of pain soon. i just need help to open up and to stop keeping it all inside i so much think of calling my friend and telling her everything but i stop and just think i need to open up im hurting so much inside becasue im holding this all in and i guess i dont want the person to see that becasue it will put them in so much more pain but plezz help me if u can i ll rate 5'd if good advice thanxs so much

Oh my gosh. Well, there's a problem really needing to be solved. Try this: have a little girl's night with your friend at your house. Get ice cream and happy, funny (no sad/romantic/sappy movies!!!) movies. When you're both having fun and relaxed, ease into the topic slowly. Unless she brings it up first, then go along slowly. It might be better to do it around the time when you're about to go to sleep. It will be easier because you're going to be more loose. Just say, "You know when I told you that ----- had cancer, well I've just been feeling----. I don't really talk about my feelings much, but I just really needed to get it out and....." Try and let it flow as much as you can without having to think about it. When you're finished, you'll feel like a great weight's been lifted off you.

I used to be more of the popular type, I was always out with friends. But latley, I can barely name 5 or 6 friends that I'm actually friends with still! All of my old friends went like .. emo, I'm sad to label them, but I can't hang out with them anymore, cause they just won't give me a chance. When I became captain of the cheerleading squad, they shut me out. I can't find anyone else at my school, who I can go shopping with, and just be true buddies. Please help, I'm so lonley!
Don't bother with them anymore. You don't need to try and change yourself for them, and they obviously won't change back for you. However, in a few of your classes, just see if there's any groups that look like a lot of fun and just introduce yourselves to them or strike up conversation with a comment or something recent. Or like someone else said, become friends with your fellow cheerleaders. As long as you stay true to yourself, that's all that matters. Or as a few people may say f*** 'em!

hi i saw that you answered another question about cherrleading and it sounded like you knew what you where talking about so... i want to try out for my schools cheerleading squad next year. so i was wondering if you could tell me what i should practice in the summer time to help me with that? i haven't really done any cheerleading and was wondering if you knew if they sell videos or books so i could learn!!

Yea, they definately sell videos which is what I've been practicing to. It's called Cheer! It's helps with cheers, chants, sidelines, movements, and dances. For the tumbling part, work on cartwheels, splits, roundoffs, front handspring, back handspring, handstands against the wall or w/o support along with handstand push ups (if you can). Do lots of running and stretching your stomach, legs, and arms which is most important. You'll obviously need to work on your jumps. Try and do it when you have a friend over, or someone can help, because 1)you won't get hurt, and 2)you jump higher, and 3)you'll have a higher confidence and it'll be more fun.

IM 17 && i have needed braces since i was 11 or so. I have had spacers in my teeth so i can get braces in when they fell out.Yea well those fell out like 5 years ago. My parents never bring me to a dentist. I take good care of my teeth & i know braces cost alot of money but i really need them. How do i get my parents to bring me to a dentist so i can get check out and sent to a ortho.?
We live right next door to a dentist office. Its pretty crazy how i cant even get them to call or walk over there.?

Whenever your near your parents, or having a conversation, etc. Remind them about getting your teeth done. Pester them over and over, and after a while your parents will do it. That's what I've been doing. ALthough I got the appointment, my dumb** dad forgot to take me so I couldn't go...but ANYWAYS you probably won't have that problem so it should work.
well my family isnt the richest in the world but im ok with that. i mean we aren't poor at all, it's just that i live in a town where probably 75 percent of the people there are really wealthy. everyone here wheres all these really cute clothes and i'm like where did you get those, and their like (this isnt the real name of the store) store b. well i go there and it's like a expensive store and most people here can afford to buy their wardrobe here. my parents said they will buy me something there once in a while but not always. i really want to find out how i can somehow make money to buy these cute clothes cause i love literally everything in there but i can't buy alot of stuff there. i dont want to get stuff there cause everyone else does but because i love the clothes!!
If you're old enough, you should try to work at that store. You'll get great discounts off. It may seem like you would be embarassed, but in reality, they would probably be kinda envious, because you would get to see first hand whats going to come out, and other such things.

I agree with what the person before said. However, if you want to keep it wet as well, then you need to put a pomade all over it to keep it "looking" wet. I think there's a product by Redken that has exactly what you want.

Okay, So Friday is 8th grade graudation. Evreyone including me is dressing FORMAL ( we have to b ) and i have a pretty dress and so on and so forth. My questin is: how do i do my hair!?? now obviously, you didn't see the message that I posted saying that that was my friends who did that because they thought it would be funny. My mom has been married three times. One of her marriages I actually do believe that she might have loved the guy. This was the guy that she married before my dad. Se didn't take as much as she did from him as the others so I believe she might have had some feeling towards him.
Then comes my dad. Wonderful man. Aside from how he's a work addict and was never there. Ever. I don't know if they really loved each other, I've never asked and I really don't care. This was the sort of marriage that seemed perfect on the outside. Everyone thought they should be together because they came for the same families and such and she was 24when she first married him. During the divorce, she took everything she could--my dad is loaded with the cash. After it was over, he turned around and bought a 1.5 million dollar house and lives there with his g/f.
Now to her third marriage. I think it's the worse because he's an asshole. At least the other two were nice. He doesn't abuse her or anything but I don't like him and he doesn't like me. We argue constantly. Once I said to him "Please don't interfere with my life, the 3rd". He got really mad and took my keys to my car away...the car that my DAD BOUGHT ME. So I gave my daddy a call and had my keys back in no time.
What about my mom, you ask. Sometimes I think she is a gold digger. But I its hard to tell. I' not very fond of her though. When ever I try to talk to her about anything that’s bothering me she just says “Oh, I’m sorry you feel that way” I told her I was going to move in with my dad once and she said “Well, its your decision and your loss” Gee…thanks mom

I agree with you, but mostly it's because they're not ready and they haven't found that person that they're happy with. I don't believe in the whole true love because my family and parents are screwed up and on the verge of getting a divorce. It all just makes it seems pointless, but I think that even though all relationships aren't and can't be perfect. You could still make an effort to do the best you can with what you've got and be faithful. If it doesn't work out, don't try to steal everything you can from them, but just let bygons be bygons and move on. Getting married and having kids is something that most girls don't want to miss out on and it's something that you remember for the rest of your life. Try it out, and if it doesn't work out, you can live a single, happy life too.
Dear Advicenators,
I want to get my belly button pierced so bad (for my 8th grade graduation) but my mom says no. I don't know what I can say to convence her that I really want this, and will do anything to get it.
What can I tell her to convince her to let me get it peirced? My dad will accept if she accepts, but I already brought up thae fact of good grades, good friends, and I dont' know what else to say! Thanks for the advive.

There are two ways that you can do this: the good way, and the bad way. Here's the bad way first. Ask if you can go to the mall with your friends, go to Claire's or wherever they have a piercing pagoda at the mall and get it done. Don't show your stomach at all for at least a month or two. Also, don't wear it at home. Once you get older, (a few years or something) tell your mom that you got it pierced with friends. There's nothing she can do about it unless she goes to the extreme of not letting you wear any more studs until it closes again. The Good Way: Do whatever your mom says, and act on your best behavior. Ask your dad to talk about it with your mom and when she's in a good mood, ask her if you can get it pierced. Don't mention whether or not your friends have it. Just say that it would make you really happy and that's all you want for your 8th grade grad. Don't beg and if she says no just say okay, and give her a guilt trip for the next month or two.
Ok so I'm a girl of East Indian decent and I have dark dark brown hair with red chunky streaks (they've faded to a coppery red) and these look nice on me but they -totally- clash with my prom dress which is a dusty rose pink and I'm not willing to screw that up.
My friend is also Indian and she got like blonde streaks and it ended up looking really washed out.
I figured blonde is the only colour I can go with my dress because I def. want my highlights to stand out a bit but I don't want my colour looking beige.
Any suggestions on what colour I should do? If I get my hair dyed honey or something, the pigmentation might make it copper...?
The first girl was right. Get a more reddish pink color because once it fades it will look more rustic which will in the end match with your outfit. Hope I helped

Maybe it's the fact that you really don't like them?? The only problem you have is the death thoughts. Just try your hardest to avoid them. You don't have serious problems, I think that you really don't like those people. Unless you're doing physical things to your cousins or yourself all I can say is to just ignore them as much as you can.
