Everytime me and my boyfriend have sex a few times I seem to develop a small bladder infection. I make sure I wash real well and I usually pee right afterwards. I know he is clean. Is there any way I can precent this? Also I get kinda itchy afterwards. Like I said I make sure I clean very well. Is there anyway I can prevent that also? (link)

i have the same issues as you. you can get bladder or urinary tract infections from the transfer of bacteria from the vagina to the urethra so if you pee right after that usually helps.but if you start to get the feeling like you may get an infection, down a glass of cranberry juice. & as for the itching thats probably just from the friction created when you have sex. its totally normal but if you get too worried, ask a doctor. hope i helped :)

I'm curious to know if any of you know some great teen (ish) books that are about romance, any that include sex, relationships, etc. I've read plenty, but I'm still looking for more. Any help is much appreciated :) the ones I read are more PG 13, so I'm looking for books that go into more detail.

I have to agree with the people who answered before me, Sarah Dessen is an amazing teen romantic author. But when it comes to the sexy novels there's Forever by Judy Bloom. Its oldish, like from the 70s i think. But it's pretty good & really detailed actually.

some may. but i dont understand why. i dont find it hot when gay guys kissing. unless they're bi and i actually have a chance with one or more of them haha. i guess it all depends on the girl.

i'm in love with this guy, hes the same age as me and everything about him is amazing, except one thing- he smokes pot. this is my #1 turn-off in a guy. he doesn't do it alot but i still don't like it. we've only been technically "dating" for a few weeks and i just recently found out- he didn't tell me, idk if he was going to or not, but i dont know what to do, should i stay with him? okay first, been there, done that, got the t-shirt. i also dated a guy who smoked pot. and i didnt find out until after we started dating. just talk to him about it. dont do anything drastic right away. and if he doesnt do it too often then im thinking he probably wouldnt have a huge problem stopping. tell him you dont like i and maybe he will give it up. but if he doesnt you may be able to look past it since you said hes so amazing. best of luck !

Hi...I am planning on getting invisalign, I want it because i don't want the pain from the metal and because I like to idea of being able to remove them to eat and such. My dentist said that I will need buttons becuase my teeth are very complicated. I would like to know if the buttons are very visible and if they damage your teeth after they are removed. Also I would like to know if my teeth will move back to there original place, or should i request to have a perminent retainer put in. I would basically like to know your experiences and if there is anything I should knwo or do. please help me.! (link)

i am also getting invisalign. my friend has it too. she said that you dont feel a thing with the buttons, and no they are not visable. im pretty sure my dentist said they make the buttons on you're teeth and then take them off when you're done but im not completely sure. and no they will not move back. btw. he gave me the website. idk if you've already seen it or not but here it is--> www.invisalign.com

okay i have a friend who's 16 too, we've known each other since last year. she's a junior and im a sophomore but we're in the same lunch and the same math class so we spend a lot of time together during the day. we also have a lot in common like we both play a (different) sport and we're both smart and we're both totally into dressing up for school.
her flaw is..SHES SO SELF CENTERRED! she never takes interest in me. she doesnt know what type of music i like, she never asks about my games, or takes any interest in anything i do, even though i do. she always talks about herself all the time. sometimes when im sharing something shell just zone out and suddenly say something completely offtopic from what im saying. then ill tell her to pay attention to me, then shell say "i am!" but she really isnt. sometimes when i try to change the topic to me she'll just be like "oh..that's good" and then comtinue talking about herself. its such a turnoff. like if you listen to one of our usual conversations its one of these 3 things:
-her doing all the talking with me trying to get a word in but her interuppting me, or
-me talking but she only says "yeah" and "uhuh" (unless i was talking about her of course)
actually, sometimes she's annoying because she's really slow to understand things. like i have to repeat something over and over for her to get it.
basically shes a nice friend but her flaws, being too self-centered and being slow piss me off. what should i do? (link)

ha. welcome to my world. lol i had a friend like that too. except she was fat. anyway, i would just stop talking to her. or better yet, give her a taste of her own medicine, when she talks about her, just be like "yeah, uhhuh. sure. yup" give her the hint. dont let her take advantage of you, i mean not to say she has already but she may in the future. good luck.

I'm not sure what to be for Halloween this year.. I'm 15/F ... Yeah, I know I'm a little old for trick-or-treating but I don't care, hah.
I think I wanna be a pirate, but I'm not sure what to do for the costume, because I don't want to buy a crappy costume for $50.
Any ideas of what for me to be, or what I can wear for being a pirate?

I have a project that I'm doing for class, basically its comparing my school to those other schools around America. I was curious if you guys could send in facts about your school such as its location (just state will be fine), dress code rules (especially if you have really random, strict ones!) number of dances/events a year, if cell phones/mp3s are allowed on campus, other positives/negatives about your school!

newton falls, oh. (smallest town ever) our dress code sucks. we cant wear cut off sweats, or anything with a hood. well we werent supposed to before. no flip flops or shower sandles. the principal goes around with a ruler every day and if he thinks our skirts are too short, he'll check. he even told us that he put a skirt on to prove that when you measure your skirt yourself, it comes down and looks longer!! in 9 &&10th grade we only have two dances: homecoming &&tinsel. in 11 &&12th grade we have three: homecoming, tinsel and junior/senior prom. there are no cellphones or mp3 players allowed. our school pretty much sucks. its soooo fricking small. and we have like the dumbest teachers!

the easiest way is to go to the ringtone website on your phone if you have internet access and dowload it that way. but i think if you go on the website it should ask for your number to send it to you.

For over a month now I have been pulling all-nighters up to about 10am-1pm. Now I have a job at Timmys and it requires many early morning shifts. Because of this I usuallt have to make sure I have a cofee before I go to work cause the lastest these shifts go to is 4pm and I can easily stay awake if I try. The problem is I am sick of staying up all night with nothing to do. I keep trying to fall asleep, counting sleep doesnt work anymore and since school is starting and I recently hung out with a boy I like I find it hard to concentrate on sleep. For the last 4 nights I have been lying in bed for a good 5 or so hours trying to sleep. Can anyone help me fall asleep? Any tips? My face is beginning to break out and school starts Monday! My mom is getting me a dermatologist appointment but I doubt I can get it until after school starts that week. I really don't want to have acne on the first day at a new school. I just moved here so I don't know anyone and I wan't to have clear skin the first day.
Any tips? Will not wearing makeup for a few days help at all? Oh and my skin is reallllly sensitive if that helps any... (link)

i use clean and clear morning scrub with bursting beads. it works for me and i would say dont wear makeup for a couple days i mean what can it hurt? good luck. i had an acne problem too. i feel your pain.
