what are some great household items that a girl can masturbate with? (link)

None, you'll get an infection. Go get yourself a vibrator.

Okay, here's the deal.
The prom dress of my dreams only had a size 2 left in stock, which I bought.
..I'm a size 4.
I can fit into the dress, but it's slightly uncomfortable.
Prom is in early June and I need to slim down to a 2 by then.
What can I do?
I have no access to a gym / exercise machines.
Also, my schedule's pretty crazy at the moment; I get a LOT of hw/studying and don't get home from school until about 6pm.
I've considered walking home from the train after school (~3miles) every day. Would this be enough or should I do more? (link)

You exchange it for a dress that fits you.
For the love of God, ignore the diet "advice" posted below me. Holy Hell.

17/f i'm going to this amusement park with my friends & family for the weekend. my one friend, has an eating disorder, and was just put into the hospital over the weekend, but she said she'd be out by the time to go she thinks, the problem is, I don't really feel its a good idea for her to come now. first of all, we plan on swimming, and i don't want anyone giving her dirty looks or anything for how skinny she is. (weighs 70 pounds, you can see her all her bones..) also, my parents don't feel comfortable with her coming, because they are afraid she won't eat or whatever & don't want the responsibility. how do i uninvite her? i don't really want to tell her my reasons, i just need a good excuse! An anorexic 70 pound 17-year-old girl belongs in treatment, not at an amusement park. Any hospital not looking to get sued will see she is not released until she is at a healthier weight.
I am alarmed at your level of concern regarding your weekend plans being substantially greater than your concern for your 70 pound friend being admitted to the hospital.

this might be kinda long so bear with me :)
i have just realized that the main reason why i dont get along with girls my age and dont even get any of them, is not because of me, its because of how they are. i realized that american girls are pretty much sluts, stereotypical, materialistic, insincere, self-centered, and only care about a guy with eitehr a full-on sixpack, or a guy with a ton of money. (Sorry, american women, that's just my opinion.)
i know this might not matter to me, or it shouldnt, but im only 16 years old and in high school, but i've dont some traveling to different countries to see what its like, and what people are like. I went to thailand last summer and all i can say about the people, wow. The men are so patient and calm and peaceful, the women are even the same. they are sincere, always smiling, and always helpful instead of just giving you attitude and scoffing in your face and rolling their eyes.
I went to england and the people there are so civilized. its so different that its unbelievable. The brits dont talk out loud and dont have attitude and dont confront random people in the park about whats bothering them. Its really comforting to be around them, same with Canadians.
i KNOW that you guys might think im being superficial, and kinda stupid like (everybodys different, nationality does change anything) but teh truth is, it does. All of the TV shows in america like, the real world, jersey shore, rock of love, and all of those reality shows influence american girls to dress like the people they see on tv, AND, act like them. Where as in England or parts in Canada, the tv doesnt broadcast so many graphic things as they do in America, And its not only TV, its the radio, music, movies, etc.
i'm actually considering moving to england or to ontario after i graduate high school next year for this reason, just to be in a betetr surrounding, instead of being scared to death in my southern california home wondering if some crook is gonna break into my car.
Again, SORRY to you people who think this is directed to you, its just my opinion. i know this was long, but i appreciate some advice, and some comments. And dont try to talk me out of moving out of the country, ive thought long and hard about it and made up my mind. Thank you! (link)

What's the question?
|
My daughter got caught shoplifting recently and I need to know if there are shoplifting lawyers or is there some other defense?
I don't know why she did it. In fact, She has NO idea why she did it. So she says, anyway. I am both furious at her and scared that a trifling bit of stupidity will ruin her entire life. Can anyone suggest a course of action?
Thank you! (link)
|
It's hard to answer this question without a few pieces of important information.
Shoplifting laws vary from state to state, and only a lawyer will be able to provide the most accurate information.
A lot depends on how old your daughter is, the value of what she stole, her criminal background, etc. Suggesting a course of action is difficult without this information.

Hi
I have been going out with my girlfriend for about a year. I am very physically active, and I don't expect my girlfriend to do as much as I do but lately I really am having trouble talking to her about weight.
I love my girlfriend's personality, but I have problem with her being overweight. I don't expect her to look like a model, and I don't mind if she's a little chubby, but I really have a problem with her being overweight and it's a huge pet peeve of mine. She has been trying to cut back, but she hasn't really lost weight. Its sad because she used to be really in shape and do gymnastics. I also try to do activities with her but she doesn't like doing them. I feel like it would be dumb to break up with her just because of the weight thing, but she just isn't losing weight and it's been 4 months now since she started trying to.
My question is, how can I help her get in shape without her getting angry at me? I feel like I'm being a jerk when I say she should run and work out, but it is super important to me. Also she doesn't want to use any drugs to lose weight. What ways can I help to convince her to get in shape?
Any suggestions on my situation would be valuable to me.
Thanks a bunch (link)

If she has gained an unhealthy amount of weight in a short period of time, I'd be willing to bet she's struggling with underlying emotional issues that are presenting themselves in the form of overeating/binge eating.
How do you mention her weight and getting in shape without her getting angry? You don't. If she used to be "really in shape and do gymnastics" I'm sure she's aware, and probably not too thrilled with, the way her body has changed.
If you're as eloquent in person as you are in your writing I'd suggest keeping your thoughts to yourself for the moment. Your reasons for wanting her to lose weight are purely selfish ones, and trying to pretend otherwise will be blindingly obvious and extremely hurtful.
To be completely honest, I'd be more inclined to suggest ways to broach such a sensitive topic had you expressed any concern for her well being at all, be it emotional or physical.
The health risks of being overweight aren't mentioned - but your "pet peeve" of having an overweight girlfriend is.
You show a complete disregard for why she may be putting on so much weight. Focus less on her waistline, and more on her happiness, or lack thereof, and see what you notice. I think you'll be surprised.
She doesn't want to use any drugs to lose weight? Good for her, and shame on you for even considering such an unhealthy approach.
Until you can find less self serving purposes for encouraging her to lose weight, put a sock in it. In the meantime, it'd probably be a good idea to re-evaluate what is important to your relationship, and act accordingly.

*Please Read Need Help* 18 F 212 lbs. So I've been on a diet for about 2 months. In the beginning, my body was never used to exercise or eating right so I dropped a lot of weight. I lost about 12 lbs within a month. I've hit a slump basically. I've been eating pretty good, but my body could use veggies + fruit. I was also taking vitamins, but one morning they made me puke so I stopped. I noticed after I started taking them, I lost a good amount of weight. Since I lost all of that weight, I haven't been losing anything at all. Sometimes it's hard for me to go to the gym so I'll only go 2 or 3 times a week.. and I don't get to stay very long because I'm in college. I don't know what's going on, I did cheat a little for Spring Fest but that's it, after I got back into my cycle. I think I need a schedule of when I should eat because I feel like my diet is all over the place and isn't helping. Any suggestions on what I should do/what my meal times should be/what my work out plan should be? ALL help is appreciated. I really wanna lose weight, I'm in this for life. (link)

You've hit a plateau! Every once in a while, your body will be stuck at a certain weight no matter what you do. Don't worry, though. Plateaus are normal and they do pass.
The frustrating thing about weight loss is the fact that you lose the most weight in the beginning. For a few weeks (or months) you're able to stay extremely motivated because you can see significant results on a daily basis. When things slow down, it's easy to get frustrated and give up.
Keep in mind that healthy weight loss is about a half pound to a pound a week.
Create a meal plan consisting of 3 meals and 2 snacks per day. Meals and snacks should be no less than 2 and no more than 4 hours apart.
An easy way to come up with a meal plan is to make a list of all the foods you like to eat/cook, and break it into 6 categories: grains, fruits, vegetables, meats/proteins, dairy and sweets. Create daily plans that meet the basic food pyramid suggestions. This may take a while to do the first time around! Feel free to contact me for help if you'd like.
Be realistic. You're a student, so allow for quick (healthy) meals you can make in advance and take on the go. Most women get cravings when their periods come - don't deny yourself goodies, just find healthy alternatives. (York Peppermint Patties have seen me through many hard times.) Don't let going out to eat get in the way of your meal plan - just check out the menu ahead of time, and see what the health(ier)y options are. If you know you won't be able to eat for 4 hours, make sure your last meal or snack is a satisfying one! Protein, protein, protein!
Another suggestion would be to keep a food diary. This can be very useful in figuring out where you're lacking in your diet, when you overeat, things like that.
Include food and drinks consumed, time you ate, where you were, who you were with, how you were feeling. Keep your food journal in your purse or book bag, as it important to log your meals and snacks immediately, NOT at the end of the day.
DO NOT include calories, fat grams, carbohydrates, etc. If you're in this for life, you need to get used to listening to your body and the signals it gives when you're hungry and when you're satisfied. (This won't happen overnight, so don't expect it to.)
Pack your lunches. Drink plenty of water. Weigh in realistically - once per week!
Moderation is key - you should only be at the gym 2-3 times per week. Don't burn yourself out. Also, vitamins are crucial! Take them after you've had something to eat, and you should be fine.
Hope this helped!
P.S. - You're allowed to cheat a little and not feel guilty about it. You're only human. In fact, it's unrealistic to cut your favorite foods completely out of your diet - eventually you'll cave in, setting yourself up for a binge.

I have a good life...a great family, amazing boyfriend; no money troubles; no overbearing problems besides my weight and body image. I'm not morbidly obese, but I am overweight (150 lbs at 5'2"). I was reading the symptoms of depression and I pretty much have all of them..the worthlessness feelings, insomnia, not so far as suicidal thoughts, but I just haven't felt good in over a year. I've tried losing weight, but I haven't.
Could I still be depressed?
And I think I might try to join weight watchers, does that work? Maybe that will help... (link)

Weight Watchers is a good program, but it won't solve any of your emotional problems. Depression rarely stems exclusively from body image and weight issues. Counseling is your bet.
Many places offering services for eating disorder therapy also see patients who struggling with body image issues. Check these places out! Not only will you get specialized counseling, but you'll also have the opportunity to meet with a nutritionist.
If you can't find any private practices, call your nearest eating disorder center and ask if they can refer you anywhere.
