I'm extremely competitive and easily discouraged.
I cry almost immediately when anyone yells at me.
I think tropical orange starbursts taste like earwax.
I'm too judgemental to love.
I'm a great liar, and I can keep secrets.
I dont use the word rad...ever.
I'm pro-choice.
And just in case you were wondering,
I like red light kisses and sailor moon,
The smell of nail polish remover,
fresh pinapple, baby roses, ladybugs,
obscure poetry & Phish Food ice cream.
My best friends are more like my sisters.
I love mint as a color but hate it with chocolate.
& I really, really love Milo and Otis.

I have a huge problem.....I'm a failure at everything in life . All my previous friends have told me so and my whole family is CONSTANTLY telling me that I'm a failure. Even people who don't know me personally, tell me that I'm a failure when they hear about me. So , what they're saying (that I'm a failure) is true, since so many people have told me the same thing. Before, hearing that statement would motivate me to work really hard. And it would work because I would achieve my goals, temporarily. Now, whenever anyone tells me I'm a failure, it doesn't motivate me anymore. Instead, I get really sad and stay in my room alone and cry. I even skip going to college because I'm so sad and don't want to be annoyed by anymore people telling me the same thing. I already have depression and am taking medication for it, so hearing this statement from people doesn't help. Now my question is: HOW DO I GET OVER THIS? HOW DO I MOITIVATE MYSELF AND STAY MOTIVATED? HOW DO I PROVE TO EVERYONE THAT I'M NOT A FAILUTRE? Sorry for the long letter. Please, no smart alecs. (link)

If you believe you're not a failure, then you're not a failure. It's that simple, really. As long as you're working hard and trying you're best, then you're not a failure. Life always has those doubters, those people who never think you can do it, just prove them wrong. Prove to them that you're able to do whatever you set your mind to, and it will come true. WIth the meds you shouldn't have to worry so much anymore. They'll help your depression (most likely) and help you get back on track. Just remember that as long as you believe in yourself, you can do it.

Ok people i aint here to be ripped and i aint talking rubbish but im 16 male and started bodybuilding and cycling 3 months ago and do it every day cuz i got told i 'aint buff' and keep being called 'midget' by my peers (only 5'8" you see), but i have noticed im increaasing becoming paranoid and aggressive and feel like making holes in walls defacing people and i get nasty headaches and im always tense. I thought working out and exercising was meant to do the opposite, so is it this or do i have an exceptional case caused by another(serious?) problem. Am i going insane? (link)

Excercise should be done every other day, or every 2 days.
If you just started out, I'd suggest taking it slow.
You can't expect fantastic results in a small amount of time (although TV ads beg to differ).
I try only working out 4 or 5 times a week instead of 7.
Take the extra days off to relax your muscles, or do something less strenuous on your body, like walking, or doing situps in your house.
Part of getting "buff" is eating right also.
You can't just work out continually and eat chips and sweets everyday.
You'll only burn off the junk you ate, and nothing else.
It's like a cycle, you burn off what you eat.
But if you eat the right way, you have less to burn off, making it easier to get straight to the muscle building.
As it gets easier to bodybuild, add more days onto your week until you're able to work out everyday.
You just gotta take it slow, darling.

umm i want to look really pretty friday and i was wondering if anyone had make-up tips or tricks!??
thanks if you answer
p.s. if you can recommend make-up that'd be great too (link)

M.A.C. makeup is expensive, but it works wonders on blending.
If you want to look excellent, I'd suggest going to a makeup store, like Ulta, and asking if they'll do your makeup for you.
Say you want to "Have a test run before you buy it".
They'll do your makeup, making it look gorgeous, and then you can just leave.
It's like a free trial.
You can always go back and buy the stuff later.
On top of that, you can watch your makeup artist do your makeup and check her/his technique.

right so my freind peirced her ear with a third hole by herself using a needle yesterday. it looks fine today. i want a belly button peircin, but my mom will never let me. should i ask my freind to do it for me? what are some safety measures i should take? (link)
|
I would advise you not to.
It's best just to wait until you're 18, then go get it professionally done.
I pierced my bellybutton once with a safety pin, a brand new one, fully cleaned.
It got infected a week later, and the scar is still there.
The only way I'd advise you to do it, if you're under 18, is to make friends with a tattoo artist/body piercer and have him do it outside of the parlor.
Then, you know it was done correctly and you don't have the risk of infection either.

i have horrible grades. and i dont know how. i try hard. but i have to miss a lot of school. our school has a rule about after 11 absents' you may loose class credits. im a sophmore. i try hard and im very smart. i have easy classes. but i think the bad grades are because of the missing school. you know. which most of the time wasnt my fault. i was in a really bad wreck. my car rolled 6 times. and i broke a rib and slightly punctured a lung. adn broke my collar bone. and had 311 stitches in my left arm, and 83 staples in my head. so obviously a bad wreck. my doctor ordered me to stay out of school for a week or two. so i did for a week in a half. and that was 7 school days. then i got really sick. adn missed like 3 days and then sick again and missed a couple more days. my princepal has told me i need to go to school. but i was sick and couldnt even hardly get out of bed. what would you do to get your grades up if you missed a lot of school
ill rate high

I'd suggest talking to your teachers. Ask about extra help, make-up work, extra credit. Some teachers offer extra credit for community service work. Christmas is coming, volunteer in a shelter. There are plenty of ways to raise your grades. Now that you're doing better and are able to get to class, try studying a week or so before your tests, no last minute ordeals. Make sure you get in all of your homework and classwork, busywork points add up in the end. I suppose that's all you can do for now, you just have to work hard.

What are some ways to calm down and relax? School is making me CRAZY. I'm extremely stressed out and I just feel like giving up. HELP PleaSE. (link)
|
A lavender bath!
Seriously, drink some calming herbal tea and light some candles while taking a bath.
If you want you could listen to some music.
Try Enya.
She has a gorgeous voice and music that will make your whole body calm down.

okay my hair is soo curly..ringlet curly, its kind've ridiculous haha =) well idk what exactly to do with it anymore cus everyone has like perfectly straight hair now. i did try straightening my hair but it looks stupid & i juss don't like it. it still curls. i think my hair has a mind of it's own!! i've been scrunching it before school cus i thought it looks cute & plus i don't have to dry it & damage it from the heat & i have more time to do other stuff. any ideas on anything else i can do?? if you want my column to see what it looks like juss tell me if you answer back.
thanks!! (link)

I have naturally curly hair, also. I assure you, curly hair does have a mind of it's own. But, I went to the drugstore down the road and bought an at-home straightening kit. They're about $10, and they work just like a perm, only they straighten your hair. They last about 3 months, I'm on my 3rd right now. The kit does dry out your hair for a few days, but only because of the chemicals. If you use a leave in a conditioner for those couple of days, you'll have no problem what-so-ever. Just take it from someone who feels your pain :P

well .. i'm doing my x-mas shopping and i want to get a friend of mine a really really REALLY good gift .. something kind of like a scrapbook .. but i don't have very many good ideas .. anyone have any suggestions?
thankss (link)

I once took all the pictures of me and my friend together and got them transfered onto iron on patches. Then I bought a scarf, and ironed the patches onto the scarf. It sounds pretty lame, but it looked amazing when I was done. & then whenever they wear the scarf, they'll think of you :)

Does anyone know a cute site for backgrounds for your advice column, not including the backgrounds from advicenators? Perhaps websites with christmas ones?

All you have to do is ask them. What's a better way then finding out from the source? & if you don't feel up to asking them, then go with your gut instinct. It's better to follow your heart in cases like this.
