Ok so now everyone is talking about college and what we are gonna do after high school. I want to go to college but I don't know what to do. My grades suck. I've tried so hard to get them up and that brings me down. Biology and Math are the worst for me. The rest I'm fine. I know I don't have to decide like right now. I have lots of time but I want to have some sort of an idea. I use to want to be a vet but that would take alot of work. I doubt I'd get into a 4 year so I was thinking maybe a community then over to take 2 more years at a university or something. That's what I've heard from some people. I'm afraid I won't amount to anything and maybe later in life I will change my mind about what I want to be and stuff. So do you think I'll be able to make this? Thanks so much! (link)

you are not dumb. I have never met a dumb person. I am in university and there are people here even with learning disabilities. I am so happy to hear that people are thinking about college at such a young age! University education is more about perseverance than intelligence. You just have to find something you love because that will make it easier to spend time doing it! The harder you work in life the more it pays off and even pays in the end!

Well you see there this boy iven been liking for awhile now. I have this class wit him and like we talk and play around and stuff. you see he knewed i liked him but i dont know if he still knows i like him. Hey, you know what? You should just let it go for a now. Act like your not interested in him in that way. Don't make yourself easy! If he really does like you than he will try to be more serious and possibly ask you out if he does not do this he is not into you. There are a lot of flirty people that just flirt with anyone and it is flattering and hard not to fall for them. Don't say anything. Try to distract yourself. It sounds like you have a good friendship going and I think it is more up to him in this case to take things to the next step. Just be patient and play hard to get! it never fails!

Hello yeah actually yasmin is pretty crappy for period regulation. I found I had lots of break through bleeding and so did my friend. It doesn't matter what day of the month you start. The starting at the beginning of your period is to minimize break through bleeding. So go to cuba and come back and start it then. Good Luck!

Hi. Recently, I've been having some problems down there. I vagina has been stinging badly, even more when I go to the bathroom. And it itches, a lot. When I do go to itch, it hurts even more. Also, it hurts to put in and take out a tampon. This has been happening for about 2 months. And, any discharge is thick and yellow and it smells very strong (stronger than it usually does), and it even has sort of a urine smell to it. Could it just be from my underwear rubbing against it? Often, to be on the safe side if someone's home, my boyfriend will finger me through my underwear. Let me clarify this, my underwear DO NOT go inside of me, it just rubs against it. Do I have an infection of some sort? Can it be more serious? What could I do to fix the problem? Would it sound suspicious if I told my Mom about it? Any answers would be a great help. Thanks. (link)

Sounds like an infection to me! And if you don't get it treated right away it will get worse. Do not touch it, you are just adding more bacteria to it. Do not wash it. And don't let ur bf touch it either. Try not to wear underwear. Treat this like a wound and try to make sure nothing it touching it so it can heal. Often bacteria and yeast grow more in wet enviroments so try not to go swimming and change clothes if they are sweaty. SEE A DOCTOR.

Yes! the human body will do just about anything to get pregnant. So odds are always against you if you are having unprotected sex. Basically even though the women is shedding her uterine lining, it doesn't mean the egg has be shed yet and it doesn't mean a guys sperm can't swim up into the oviduct and wait for the next egg to be released. Sperm can live up there for about 5 days! Also probably not the best thing to get blood in your penis...So please always use a condom and birth control. And no sex is ever safe sex...

Yes, 15 is probably the worst age for horniness and everyone starts losing their virginity then. However, I find if you just keep your pants on and try not to get too close to having sex that works. What I mean is one thing leads to another...There is nothing wrong with this desire, it is totally normal. If you really feel like it is distracting you birth control really helps with that. It also gets ride of cramps and raises iron levels (it's not just good for baby protection). Just keep reminding yourself about your stance on sex. And trust me you are not missing out on anything...Pretty much any other form of sex is better for women anyways (for example oral sex). Maybe masturbation would help lol...

Yeah, Don't try that....Chances of you getting pregnant are high no matter WHAT UR BF SAYS. Obviously he is going to argue with you because well he's a guy and sex is EVERYTHING to them. Trust me it does not feel any different for you with or without condom and condoms make him last longer anyways. They also keep things clean. Remember penis icky! And you don't want babies either..

Ok, so you know to work out and that sort of stuff but do u know what to wear? I see way too many girls with really low cut pants on that are well, um, kinda fat. And low cut jeans will give you love handles. So wear some high cut jeans and a lose top that comes in at the waist. Also spanx actually work really well! dresses are good at covering up love handles too. Just the way you dress can make you look so much slimmer! in the summer wear highcut bikinis and tie a wrap around your waist to hide the loves handles.

we've been really close and for the most part naked but not inside each other, but, again, really close, without a condom.
what are the chances that she's pregnant? i'm worried, and so is she.

Sorry, to inform you but there is a high chance she is pregnant. I would get a pregnancy test right away. That's too long to go without a period. Right now you are both at your most fertile stages in life so it is quite possible. It's best just to keep the condom on and go on birth control.

I went to my formal party last night and this guy asked me to dance with him so I said ok, since I was sitting out most of the night so I was grinding with the guy and my crush was right there! he knows I like him but I dunno if he likes me back, like he told me he has a g/f, but he stares at me a lot, we don't really know eachother, we had classes together and we spoke on msn a few times but I don't want him to think anything of me because of the way I was dancing with guy, and I saw his friends looking at me a couple of times during the night and he looked my way a few times too. but I just wanted to have some fun before the night ended and I hope he doesn't think I like that guy, I wanted to dance with my crush sooo badly but he was dancing with his boys for the whole night and he didn't dance with any girls...am I overreacting? Yes, you are overreacting. You have no need to explain yourself. If he really does like you he will approach you and try to find excuses to talk to you. I wouldn't worry about it much since you don't really know him that well. I mean he might turn out to be not your type anyways. Just let it happen and there is nothing wrong with dancing with other guys. Grinding is kinda bad sometimes especially if it is quite provocative lol. Remember, respect yourself and be a lady. Don't feel like you have to do anything like grinding or even have sex because you want a guy to like you. NOT good (and it never works, usually does the opposite).

My best guy friend moved a few years ago and we still keep in touch. and he is like a brother to me. We have had a thing between us where we both liked each other and we tried long distance but it didnt work. and we decided to stay best friends. well he found someone else and recently broke up. He's been talking to me a lot and i'm always there for him and i'm trying so hard to help him, but he is SO depressed. He says everything in his life sucks and he doesnt know why he's still living. and everyone would be better off if he wasnt alive. I REALLY care about him and i have done everything i could possibly think of to help him.
also, he says part of the reason why he is depressed is because he and i didnt work out. and i told him that some relationships are just not meant to be. and he says he has no love in his life and i say his family loves him and godddd i just dont know what to do! I really need help here. badly. I'm afraid that he's going suicidal and i care so much about him. but not in the romantic way.

Ok, so if you think he is suicidal then you must take action immediately. I know that sounds serious, which it is serious, but it is better to be safe then sorry. I would tell your school counselor, his parents (if you think they would understand), a doctor or a nurse. I know you would like to approach him yourself which is important also but a lot of times a depressed person will not listen so it is important to bring other people into the picture. Just make sure he is ok and keep in contact, don't let him start avoiding you or people, that is a bad sign... if you have any more problems let me know. There is also a suicide help line I think 1-800-suicide is the number and there should be some local resources and other people you can contact. Also look for signs of bodily harm such as cutting and excessive use of alcohol or drugs of any type. Make sure to tell someone if you see these as self harm is often a step towards suicide.

ok.. so i'm 19 and am in my first relationship ever, its been six months now, and just last week my boyfriend left for a job in another country. he says he wants to stay together and be together when he comes back in a year but it dosen't even seem like he cares at all.. he dosen't write me emails or anything, he can't call me because he said that he can't use his cell over there and it would cost way to much to call, however i looked it up and he could have used his cell over there if he paid a little extra.. and he tells me that he loves me a lot, he had an ex who did the same thing (take a job in another country) and so he knows how it feels but if he does and he loves me as much as he says why would he want to put me through that? anyways, i don't know what to do because this is my first boyfriend maybe i'm not really supposed to end up with him and i don't know.. i've just been such a mess lately and don't know if i can last a year feeling like this. anyways if anyone has any advice whatsoever please let me know, thanks in advance and thanks for actually taking the time to read this, i didn't mean for it to be this long (link)

I haven't had my period in about 5 months. I'm 18 & first got my period when i was 13. It's always been irregular, but I've never gone more than 2 months without it. I'm not stressed or underweight/overweight, and I'm still eating and exercising the same as usual. I'm not on birth control... I'm sexually active, but I'm definitely not pregnant. I tried making a gyno appt. but nothing is available til may.
are there any other explanations? is this a serious problem? can i wait til may to get it checked out or should i go to my primary physician?

Hello, see a doctor as soon as possible. You probably will be put on birth control because you are sexually active and also have had irregular periods. But remember to always use a condom, I've known way too many people who have got pregnant on birthcontrol or by using the pull out method WHICH IS NOT A METHOD!! Another kinda scary possibility is that you have an STD or STI. So make sure to also get a pap smear and STI check up.

To be honest and frank with you, if the boy isn't already chasing you without you doing anything he probably isn't interested. And since he is 14 he is probably just really horny and if he did chase you what he really is after is sex. hahaha. 16 - female - Britain (this is important because ideally, I'd like someone doing A level chemistry - or having done it - to help me, probably with a british exam board because I can relate to that easier - I'm on OCR?)
A week ago today I took up a sixth A level - Chemistry. I have to fit the year's AS course into a 10 week time period before the exam and still get an A. I'm happy with the workload but OCR's books, Chemical Storylines and Chemical Ideas are hard to follow, I find.
My first lesson was a kind of practical exam - a titration with an exam booklet after, like an ISA but not. My teacher quickly went over a quick chemical formula he knew I would need which is:
N= (C x V) / 1000 (if that volume is in cm cubed)
Now it doesn't matter what that means but I found that very easy to remember and refer to. BUT, in the chemical ideas formula book they put most other formulas in very wordy ways which I find hard to comprehend. For example, things to do with moles or Element abundancy.
Does anyone know either a site that's good for learning quick forumale notation like the example above, (and explaining things like spectrometry?) or can you quickly jot down a few equations for me, with what they mean? I will be asking my teacher as well, but its half term at the moment and when I get back to school I will be busy with all the other five a levels too!

HELLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOoo! I am a chemistry student at the university of british columbia in Canada. So, u having problems in chem???? Well, then chem is tough stuff. First of all when you see anything in chem with cm cubed immediately think ml. I do not know why they use cm cubed in first year or highschool cause in later courses they realize it is pretty pointless most of the time. This site isnt bad for basic understanding of molar ratios. I just hope you are good at division and cancelling things cause that is what I use and what we use at a higher level. Do u have any specific questions? (n=moles at least here it does) V is probably volume ...and honestly i have never used that version of that formula before...

Oh man, yeah it's easy to have crushes on players because they are usually hot to begin with (that's how they became players) But to be honest don't go for this guy or any guy really, let men approach you even if you are shy. I want to get toned..I'm not over weight..but I basically still have my baby fat. In my sthomach, and on my sides. I want to get rid of it, cause here in March, I'm going to prom..and I want to look good in the summer for bathing suit season.
My mom has some relacore pills..and she said that she didnt care if I took them..but..they say to not take them if your under the age of 18. I've read the effect's on the pill..but..what is the risk that those effect's will happen?
Would it be a bad thing if I took the pill? I mean..could I get sick..or addicted or something?
If I did take the pill..I would want to make sure that it's safe. I dont want anything bad to happen.

Diet pills are about equal to crystal meth...they are extremely unhealthy and if you have an undiagnosed heart problem they will kill you. Yep that being said excersize and diet are pretty much the only thing that will get you skinny so find some sport or go to the gym and start excersizing! If you find it really boring bring a magazine and your ipod it really helps. Oh and healthy diets only, don't starve yourself cause that will just make u fatter in the end(your body goes into starvation mode and all your food is stored as fat plus u will be miserable and have no boobs). I had a best friend who was a boy and I could tell him anything. We would hang out all day and in school pass notes and stuff, but then my other friend made a rumor about me that i liked him. He heard and it was a little awkward for a while and eventually got back to normal. That week another rumor was set about me and he wouldn't let it go. I asked him why he was upset with me and he said "The rumor" and walked away. He ignores me online and when I call him he doesn't pick up. He doesn't seem to care about me anymore. I try talking to him all the time but he is too caught up with being in the popular group to notice me and I was wondering how I could get him to talk to me. Some of my other friends think I did something to him and now they all ignore me too. I only have one real true friend now and I want them back. (link)

Hello, I am truly sorry to hear that this happened to you and I know that your social life is such an integral part of your life. Friends get into fights A LOT and this one sounds quite unfortunate. Do you know what the rumor is exactly? I mean if you don't it could be ANYTHING really, it could be that you are seeing someone else and he is jelous which is probably more like it by the way he is reacting. Unfortunately, he is not being a very good friend by even approaching you about it, but you are young and it takes a few years for people to realize RUMORS ARE LIES. Right now, my best advice is just to leave him alone and not try to befriend him because if he really wanted to talk to you he would have done so by now. (it's true just think about it) By taking the mature root you will show that you are mature and you will feel better about yourself for having control over your life. If notices this and talks to you GREAT if he doesn't MOVE ON even if it means not having anyone for awhile...this is not going to be the first time you encounter problems like this in your life...but next time you will be more prepared! remember self-esteem is the most important thing you can have and always be nice...the best payback is within your own success and happiness and not by lashing out...
