Myrrha answered Sunday March 1 2009, 2:40 pm: with any pill, you need to take a pill everyday, this includes the white ones(hormone-free pills). Pills work by building up the hormones in your system, if you wait before you take the white pills, you run the possibility of messing up the established hormone levels in your body and increasing the risk of pregnancy( if you are sexually active). I tried to get on tri-cyclen so i only would have my period every 3 months. My doctor was going to give me a regular birth control pill, and she told me to just skip the last week and move to the next pack. If you don't want your period when you are on vacation, skip the last week and start the next pack, you just won't have your period for a month. Holding off on the pills like the other suggestion will just cause your period to come anyways. The hormone pills are what keeps your period from coming. Besmart answered Sunday March 1 2009, 11:58 am: Hello yeah actually yasmin is pretty crappy for period regulation. I found I had lots of break through bleeding and so did my friend. It doesn't matter what day of the month you start. The starting at the beginning of your period is to minimize break through bleeding. So go to cuba and come back and start it then. Good Luck!
