One of my friends has kind of drift'd away from me lately. Its weird tho b/c me and her used to be so tiight. What do I do? I feel lyk I'm losing my best friend! (link)

well i kind of feel the way you do the same thing happend with someone who was my bestfriend...we were so close for so long and then school started and we drifted away..we never talk or hang out anymore and in a sense i feel bad because now i hang out with my other friends and dont even acknowledge the fact that we dont talk..i say if its that big a deal to you then call her or make plans...if she doesnt wanna talk or doesnt wanna make plans then maybe it was for the best that yall split..not every friendship lasts.

This is going to be long because I have to give a bit of background information to make you understand this better. I am 14 years old, a freshman in highschool and I have a great friend named Brian, aslo 14 and a freshman in highschool. When Brian was in 4th grade he had to get surgery on his... area (if you get where I'm going with this) The reason for the surgery was that one testical wasn't where it should be so basically they had to put it back in place. He had confided this secret in his best friend, so he thought. About a week later he found out that his "best friend" had told everyone about the surgery and that he had said to everyone that he had a tesical removed. From then on, he was known as uni- ball, one balled brian, rude, childish names like that. He has a somewhat feminine voice so his voice would make you think that he was gay. He isn't gay at all, he's completely straight and has had girlfriends in the past. On top of him being called uni-ball and whatnot, people started calling him, fag, homo, fudge packer... that kind of stuff. He got depressed and started cutting. We are now in 9th grade and he seems to be okay. Everything just mentioned is only what I know from him because he will not for the life of him go into detail about anything because he is too embarassed and will not trust anyone. When we started highschool the rumors started up again. Today in class we were assigned to get into our groups and I sat with him and asked him what was wrong. He was ready to break down and cry at that point. He was so upset that the rumors had started up again. Brian is a very nice guy, he's not gay and he is NOT missing a testical! Everyone is tourmenting him about it and I fear for him that he is going to start getting depressed again. I want to help him out and be there to comfort him but I don't know what to say to him, I obviously can't say I know how you feel because I don't. I just met him this year and he's one of my best friends. I'm very hurt by everything that is being said about him and I want to have the rumors stopped. With me, my friends come first no matter what. I want to help him out so bad, it hurts me to see him so upset. I gave him a hug and told him everything was going to be okay and he just broke down in tears because of everything that was going on. He can't trust anyone. I want to make him beleive that he can trust me and he can tell me anything! I understand that he's not able to trust people but I feel so horrible about everything that is going on. How can I help him? And how the hell can I make these terrible rumors stop because they are hurting one of my wonderful friends. I hate to see my friends in so much pain. Please help. Sorry this was so long.
Also... Please don't give smart ass remarks because this is a touchy subject.
I have no feelings for Brian in anyway like that because I have a boyfriend... that was for anyone who might have said why don't you go out with him.... or something stupid like that.

well i also believe people saying that is just immature..they dont know him so they shouldnt be talking about him like that. what you need to do is set everyone str8. just tell them until they have proof to shut up and quit being mindless idiots. honestly tho you cant do much..people will do what they want..just let brian know he is a good no great guy and no one should deserve to be treated that way..i would say have him ignore them..but its not that easy..just tell him to say stuff back..make a joke out of it even tho it isnt..like if they say "hey uni-ball" tell him to say "lick it" or somthing that way he doesnt feel inferior..sorry i wasnt much help.

My friend's dad smokes. She is afraid he will die! She says that he has been coughing really bad latly. She says he is trying to stop smoking, but not really suceeding. She says that he is the one who brings all the money to the family, and shes just very afraid. She is afraid he will die from cancer or something. So basically, i need some advice in helping her through these hard times, and maybe if theres a good way to help her dad smoking. Thank you! (link)

well has your friend tried talking directly to their father..if not try that first...if she has and he hasnt done anything i hope he realizes he is also putting his family at risk from second hand smoke and he should know that beig an adult. if she has talked to him then she should try what i did..whether they getr mad or not take their cigarettes..DONT SMOKE THEM..but tear them up or hide them...if they get mad let them know its for their own good.its all for her familys safety..hope i helped in some way..and her dad should really see a doctor about his coughing and make sure he doesnt have cancer already.

HEy...Okay im really pissed off becouse my friend iz going out with diz guy dat i realli dont like! ANd Hez alwayz cheating on her like everyday! When i told her she told him to backoff! The next day...There still together and happy!He came up to me and said Stop fuckin telling everything i do to Ashley and stop staring fuckin Staring @ me! well personally i think youre doing the right thing..i dont believe in cheating..if you dont like someone enuff to cheat on them you dont like them enuff to date them...and youre right by telling your friend she should know what kind of kreep shes dating..as of her dating him tho..if she didnt listen to you the first time u either have to get other ppl to let her know so shes getting it from just you..or let her find out on her own..some ppl are that stubborn...but youre being a great friend there is not much more you can do but that.

my friend is being extremely annoying. most of our group of friends got into advanced 9th classes (we're in 8th) and she didn't. she constantly says she's stupid and we're all smarter than her, and that isn't true. (she was probably 1 point away from getting in advanced anyway.) whenever she looks at our books, she makes a face and rolls her eyes. now, i can understand why she's upset, but we all know and it's getting really old really fast. what can i tell her to stop this?? tell her you love her as a friend n all but there is nothing you can do about being in the classes..some ppl are more focused than others..tell her if she wants somthing done she can do it herself bcuz whining about it isnt going anywhere.

How do I get more friends?? I have two best friend but it feels like no one else is really my friend.... like I only have 2 friends!! I think I'm pretty... I mean people tell me I'm pretty and modeling agents come up to me (not to sound cocky but I'm just trying to tell ya the whole story) I used to be popular back in 8th grade but now I dont know what happend.... same thing here..i have friends but only one best friend.i had 2 but one of them hasnt been keepin in touch over the summer..but the whole "not really but kinda sorda" friendship thing is the same here..you just have to get out more..see im told im mature for my age but im still hanging out with ppl my age..maybe you need a younger or older crowd that u get along with better..idk try it out and if it dont work holla bakk at me n we'll figure it out..boytoy3766 on AIM

ive got friends like that too..as of right now i was thinking of the same thing..all you can do is confront your friend and if she gets mad at you doing somthing like tryin to find the truth shes not a friend.
