I know this is an issue that many people deal with and i have tried just about everything that i know but nothing seems to work....I think i have an addiction to porn and i dont know what to do...i went a whole month and a half without doing it and it was the hardest thing for me....i dont know how to get it out of my head,.i pray about it just about every night and im tired of being this way please help
well i definitely understand your frusteration. when i pray about things a lot of times it seems like He isnt listening but you have to truly believe that He will help you overcome this addiction. If you have God on your side their is no way you wont win!! but when you try praying truly expect to not want to watch porn anymore and expect yourself to heal and move on. then go find a new hobby and keep yourself busy especially when you want to look at porn. its very hard to break a habit but with God i kno you can. also hake an incentive for yourself! thats how i work. if you go a certain amount of weeks have a reward of some sort and try to make a list of reasons why you dont want to have this habit anymore and remind yourself of all those things when you want to. i think that will really help. also when you sit down with God really let Him in and ask Him to cleanse you and clean your mind. If you truly believe He will then it will happen. when you have doubt He isnt there but if your truly believe He will be there for you and i kno He wants to be.
also try to find out what triggers your want to look at porn because when you recognize it you can be even more prepared to fight your addiction. the more you understand your addiction the more you can overcome it.

How do you convert from being catholic to christian?
Catholics arw Christians but they can very different in what they think. If you want to start exploring Christianity rather than Catholicism(?) just start reading books, going to churches, etc. you could get baptized but you probably already have if your Catholic. You dont really need to do any special act for anyone except pephaps yourself. Just sit down and think about everything after learning about Christianity and then officially decide your a Christian and accept that as your religion instead of being Catholic. Tho Catholics are in essense Christians they think of themselves(and everyone else does) as a different type of Christianity or even religion. Is it wrong not to go out with somebody because of their religion? I like this guy, but he doesn't believe in God, and it pisses me off! I don't want to force him to believe in what I believe in, but at the same time I would like somebody to have the same views as me. I'd probably even prefer to find a boyfriend in the church. Is that wrong?
I, personally, think that dating a boy of another religion is just a bad idea! Because he doesnt have the same morals and values as you and thats bound to cause a lot of problems! plus that seems like something really important to you and dear to your heart. It seems like its a good part of you and to date someone who doesnt understand that is very difficult. I think you should just wait for the right boy and im sure you can find someone in the church! my bf and i go to the same church and its so great because we volunteer together and go to service together and go to the youth group together. plus God says not to marry someone who is not a Christian and i know you probably wont get married but the whole point of dating is to find out who you will one day marry so that seems kinda pointless. I have dealt with this before so if you have any other questions i would be so happy to help you! and just wait for that guy-he will come! God will provide you with the perfect boy just for you if you trust Him and wait!! :] hope i helped

ok im christian also and mt mom is a very strong christian. my sisters and brothers talk about being "saved" at the age of like 8 or 9. i havent been "saved" yet and i want to believe in god as everything in my life but i just dont understand the whole concept. im worried that something may be wrong with me. im so unsure of what to think.
Nothing is wrong with you! People are ready when there ready and thats all to it. I personally think its cooler if your older when you accept Him cause you really understand it and remember it. What you have to do is accept Him in your heart. If you already have but havent really committed your life to Him i suggest you think about doing it again. Its a big responcibility but its amazing. Also the same thing goes with Baptism-babies and little children are baptised at birth sometimes but its very big for when they are older to get baptised again cause they know what it means and are aware of it. Being 'saved' means you have asked God into your heart and become His servant. You are saying im ready to serve you and commit my life to you God-because I love you and i know Your everything. Also to start being a good Christian and live your life for God try reading the Bible and praying. If you dont already. It can be hard at first but once you commit your life and give all your problems to Him and only worry about living the right way and for Him and serving Him and the people around you it is so amazing. Little things dont matter anymore and your so much more content and life is so much more peaceful. I really hope i helped and if you have ANY more questions please ask! What makes you believe in a higher power that plans your fate over random incidents?

Ok well first actually i go to a christian private school and the other day in Bible we were talking about society and how everyone tries not to affend other people in stead of standing for what you believe in. I feel strong enough and passionate enought to not care at all what people say about me so you know what-all you people who aren't religous im just sorry you aren't in some cases i HOPE i affend you because i DISAGREE with your thoughts. don't worry about hurting people's feelings because if they get affended then they are not comfortable with themselves and self-confident. those people would tell you what they thought not whine about being affended.
ANYWAYS (sry bout that lol) I believe in God because it seems so well let me say EASY first off. There are so many different historical things and proof that backs this up coming from people who arent religious at all. The LEADING ATHEIST has now said he believes there is a God. Because he spent so much time researching it and discovered that there really is a God. There are TONS of different things to prove it but i wont bore you with details.
I dont really believe it because of that tho but because of all the things going on in our World and how bad things are sometimes. God has proved himself to me NUMEROUS times. It astounds me everytime but if I really sincerely pray for sumthing i really need and believe in Him that he will help me and bestoy what i need upon me (more so oppurtunities then actual things ex.: if you pray to start making more, better friends God will give you oppurtunities and bring people into your life and he will have already given you what you need to go and make those friends. You just have to push yourself a bit and meet God halfway and then start talking to those people who become the new friends you prayed for) Sometimes I can just feel his presence and it is SO amazing i wish so much that everyone could have a gret relationship with our Lord and Savior.
The more i praise God and trust him and do what is right the better I feel happier and healthier and like even when life is really hard (which it has been a lot lately) i feel like it's going to be ok and by surrounding myself with close friends who area ll strong Christian I also have amazing support and love come from them as well as the Lord.

Me and my family are having some home problems right now..my dad left my mom 3 years ago, but there still married. This christmas will be 4 years since he left. He doesn't give my mom enough money, and if he does, thats only enough to pay the house payment, then she has no money to buy food, also, she has 2 kids, and I'm the oldest and my brother is only 10. My dad is so...I don't know what to say, he gets paid every other friday, right? Well, one friday he'll give my mom 600-700$ or less, and 500$ is the house payment, and then she either has 100$ or 200$ left, yeah, thats only a little bit of food, but she has bills, too, like the phone bill, internet, drug store, etc. She gets social security cause she has one arm, that has nerve damage, but thats only for the bills, not for me and my brother. It use to go to us, we use to be perfect, we had the money when my dad was here, now, my moms late on the house, and late with alot of bills, and we can't even buy anything anymore! Our house is really bad, we had a leak, and the insurance still haven't gave us our money yet, but we're calling them, and hopefully they will. This hurts so bad, but my mom is getting a divorce soon. Why is she finally getting one? She didn't have the money back then, and I don't think my dad couldv'e filed for one, since he left, but still. Should I pray? A few nights ago I prayed, I said "God please help us get some help, let us get a new home, and my mom get a divorce so she can start over and have a happy life." I'm going to pray everynight now, and hopefully we'll get some help. My mom NEEDS to start over, my dad kills her everytime he comes by, and now, he barely comes and sees us anymore. Only when he HAS to, or gets paid. He doesn't even care about me, and he already made my mom have a stroke and he thought it was funny, and he made fun of her, because the doctor at the hospital asked her questions, and she said the wrong one, and my dad laughed. That makes me dislike him even more. Should I sign my famly up for that show "Extreme Home Makeover" you know, on ABC. We are having problems, and we really do need it. I can't invite friends over cause it's so bad. We really need help with are home, and get my mom caught up with her bills, and our home. We can't lose this house, we'll have no where to go..
Sorry this was long, I just need to know if there's any help out there, and I don't know who to ask.

Ok first I have to say God will help you even if it doesn't seem like it. I will pray for you too even if you don't know me all in all you are my sister(or brother) and i shall do what i can to help you. No offense but Extreme Home Makeover is more about helping people that have had bad things happen to there family but still have lots of love and help others and a divorce isn't really like that even tho you do have those other problems. If you trust God everything will be ok even when it looks like he's nto helping you, he really is. And i know it seems hopeless, but things WILL get better and you will learn much too. Stay close with your family and try not to be embarassed. You don't have to invite your friends over because i understand but be proud of what your mother has done for you guys considering everything. 16/F I really am motivated to find a religion that will have me feeling purified. I've already taking some quizzes to see which would suit me, but those weren't of use. Here are some of my beliefs which will not change.
-Against abortion
-Abstinence until marriage
-Strongly against smoking and drinking
-Reincarnation
This is for my own practice and mainly to achieve inner peace. I am very self-aware.
I'd prefer if it were a religion that isn't so common because chances are I've rejected it in the past.
