Hey You guys! I'm Lauren and i'm pretty much as normal as a fish swimming in water! I love Roller Coasters, and if i could, i would live in Cedar Point... who cares about the loud noises! Nothing is better than the Top Thrill Dragster!! Muah ha ha! lol but like i said i am normal. i'm in ballet which is what i live for! i am also in the South Lyon MARCHING BAND! So I want a boyfriend. I think you give good advice, and seem to know what you're talking about. Do you have a boyfriend? If so, what is he like, because I want to know what to look for in a boyfriend, since my last beat me. Please help, like list some good qualities that your bf/anyone's bf should/does have.

Well.. yes i have a boyfriend... he is amazing... even though he is 2 1/2 years older than me.. he doesn't care... i love how when people give us a hard.. especially my parents not letting me drive with him... he still is fine with it.. and does what he can to see me... he is nice and caring.. and is nice to all myfriends even though they hate him. He likes to suprise me alot.. and i don't know.. if you want a boyfriend you should find a boy with a good sense of humor, and who is really confortable around you! i feel like i'm no help because you can't make your self like someone... it just happens...
so I just saw your column- and you give really good advice, so I thought I would ask you something. I really like my best friend Luke and he's so amazing! I've known him since the 7th grade, I'm in 10th. And I just wanted to know if there is a way to ask him out on a date? I mean- he really likes Mexican food, so should I ask him to Taco Bell? or is that not romantic! I want him to be impressed by me and my choices. Like I want him to notice my hair, because I spend like 5 hours everyday on it just for him- I start school at 10am and go until like 6pm (I live in Montana) and sometimes I get a lot of homework, and I'm starting to get stressed because my grades are dropping, and I don't think colleges will want me in them! What do I do? I just want Luke to likke me, and I want this other guy Jake to like me, because he's totally cute!!!!

well... if you really want to ask Luke on a date... just ask him if he wants to hang out... like say that you guys could go to a movie... and get taco bell afterwards.... you prolly don't want anything too romantic yet... if your just trying to get him to like you... just start with flirting and hanging out... and with the other guy... i think it would make things easier if you focused on one guy... and with the grades thing... you need to be able to focus on both... try to spend more time on hw.. and i've found that guys like girls better when they don't try to impress them... like... don't over do it... sometimes guys think its ridiculous when girls over do it... if you know what i mean! i hope this helped!
Dear advicenators. I'm 15/m and in highschool. Theres this girl that I've liked for about a year now. We werent really going out but i made it really obvious that I liked her. I would give her stares and friendly smiles and linger around to wait for her to get out of her classes so I could walk her to her next class. I told her how i felt one day and we were on the verge of a relationship for about 4 weeks. I held her hand when we walked and bought her roses. She was my homecoming date but I never really asked her out. This one friday after school she out of the blue came up to me and told me she didn't think this was gonna work out. I was devastated and its been about a month now and I cant get her out of my head. I keep finding myself glancing over at her direction and wanting her to just look back at me for a second but she wont. I want her attention so badly that any kind of attention from her would satisfy me. I dont know what to do.. she seems to like another guy now, and you can probabally tell i'm the jealous type of person. but ya know, if shes happy its better off that way right? and now for the question, sorry for making this so long. Is there something wrong with me? What did I do wrong? and should I try to move on?

Nothing is wrong with you. Maybe she didn't like the idea that you never actually asked her out. she probably didn't like waiting. But it may help you if u talked to her, and asked her why she thought it wouldn't have worked out. It might be the right thing to move on, even though its the hardest thing to do.
ok so ive been invited to my first bar mitzvah!! yay! here come the bad news. every year i go to halloween horror nights to please my dad because he thinks that i enjoy it but really i hate getting scared. he already reschedualed it because of something that i needed to do the weekend that he planned it but now i really want to go to this bar mitzvah because hes the only kid i know that jewish and i want to go and see all my friends from my old school. the problem is hes more my brothers friend and i just got invited to tag along but still i want to go really badly. i talked to my dad about reschedualling again but no he says i have to choose between halloween horror nights and the bar mizvah but my brother wants to go to halloween horror nights because he loves it and he doesnt want to go to the bar mitzvah but i do and i cant show up without him. so one more thing the guy i like is going to the bar mizvah and i never get to see him anymore because i went to a new school last year. im so confused and extreamly mad at my dad so please help!!! i cant confront my dad u see im a little scared of him sometimes and he tries to hard to impress me and my brother.
ok well first of all u should never be afraid of your dad! i've had to learn that the hard way... even though i'm still kind of afraid of himat times. But u shouldn't be afraid of talking to him. I think that you should talk to your dad about the situation. If you don't get to hang out with your dad alot then i would go the the halloween thing, but it the bar mizvah is more important than you should go to that. It might feel unconfortable for you to go to your brother's frinend's bar mitzvah with out him if you don't know the kid well. If you really want to see your old friends maybe you could have a halloween party and invite them all! i hope this helped you a little! remember, don't be afraid to talk to your dad!!

Well, a kiss has to be special! you can't just go and kiss someone because you want to, it has to have meaning to it. Just kiss her when the time is right, maybe you both are at the park, and your sitting next to her, you could just look her into her eyes, and kiss her! its easy, and a simple way of tellign her you love her.
my name is jason and i have a really sweet and pretty girlfriend- the problem is-
WE HAVEN'T SEEN EACH OTHER since way before we started going out (well.. like a week before)
I REALLY love her and I know she loves me-but I'm not sure if the spark we had is going to run out by the time school starts (sept. 12).. and we'll just be blah...

My boyfriend is 18, he is out of school, has a GED and a job. I'm 14, in the 9th grade. All of my friends say that he is too old and that I'm "turning into a whore". He says he loves me and that he only wants me to be happy. Hes really sweet and I dont see what the problem is. My mom knows about the age difference, and she really hasnt said if she was ok with it or not. Do you think its ok? Also, I really love him and he says he loves me, is it possible to find your "true love" at 14?
Well all i have to say is that you can't fine your true love until you have met many other guys, and at the age 14, its kinda young, and its better to go out with kids your age for a while. Maybe you should take a break with your boyfriend for a while, and go out with other people, and if you find that you can't get over him, you could go back out with him!
My boyfriend smokes weed and it really bothers me. I know it's HIS life and I shouldn't tell him what to do, but I don't want him to mess up his life. I know people say ciggs are worse then weed, but weed can still give you cancer. I don't want him to die I just want him to STOP doing drugs so I don't always have to worry about him. What can I say and do to help him stop smoking weed?
ok well you need to prove to your boyfriend what smoking weed it doing to him, AND you! if him smoking weed is hurting you, then you need to tell him. and maybe you could prove to him what the weed is doing to him, and how bad it is hurting his body! if he really loved you, then he wouldn't want to hurt you, so maybe you could tell him that its hurting yourself more than him!
ok i know this is bad but my bf is 20 and im 13 but im vietnamese and i went over there and thats where i met him apparently age doesnt matter over there but now im back here and he lives over there which sucks but every1 says hes using me but he says he wants to marry me when im 18 which im not sure about yet since im just 13 but i dont know what to believe or what to do about the distance i can only see him once a year and i can only talk to him like once a month i dont know what to do should i keep going out w/ him? and i dont know if hes using me or not but i love him alot ahh im soo confused help!
Well this is just my opinion, but if you only get to see him once a year, then you won't actually get to know true love, and you probably shouldn't marry him unless you trully love him, and that should be in a long time, but you could just be wasting your time with him, you never get to see him, and there are so many other guys out there for you!

well i guess you could talk about things you have in common, and then when you find something you both like, you can talk about that! also girls like to be complimented, so tell her she is beautiful or stunning! thats a good way to win someone!

Your boyfriend should love you for who you are, and you shouldn't have to change for him! there is no reason that you should have to change who you are... if he asking you to change, than he isn't right for you!
do girls go for guys with piercings? if they are good looking that is, and do girls get attracted to guys with piercings,like let's say nose rings?and if they do, can you specify which part of the face or body you find most attractive for a piercing on a guy and how much piercings should your ideal guy have?thanks
OMG!! guys with piercings are soo hott! lol.... well actaully only if they are the kind for them... like one piercing is enough... like in the eye brow!! or lip, but then it feels wierd to kiss! lol but not all guys would look good with piercings! some guys are better off with out them!
