I know that birth control can make you gain weight, but is there any birth control that doesn't
Birth control effects everyone's hormones differently. There is no way to know how it will effect yours. It could make you gain, it could make you lose. It could cause your face to break out, or clear up. You just never know what it will do to you. Usually when you get put on birth control, they run a bunch of tests on you to see which birth control would be better for you. So don't stress out about this. It's no big deal.

this may sound stupid. is there a possibility that you could not have a clitoris or it may not react to touch? i have trouble finding it, and my boyfriend always touches me around that area and i never feel anything and it makes me worried that there's something wrong with me and i'll never enjoy sexual relations
There are other way of stimulation besides clitoral. Like, vaginal for instance. Durr. ;)
But i'm sure you have one. Everyone is shaped differently, so you may just have a very small one. Your clitoris doesn't come out of the "hood" until you are completely aroused down there, so it may just not turn you on to be touched there, and there isn't anything wrong with that. So no, nothing is wrong with you.

i'm trying out for winter basketball at my school in the Fall. i've done basketball out of school.. probably the longest than I've ever done any sport. I don't even remember all the things I did for it. But I'm not amazing.. I mean I'm a good defender since I'm aggressive and not afraid to grab the ball and stuff, but I'm not the best shooter.. and we don't have a basketball net at my house so i can't practice. I mean I havent played basketball since last spring (I did travel bball) since I didn't try out for my school team last year cause I forgot. But do you think I have a chance.. cause I guess I'm good at foul shots and some faraway shots, but I suck at lay ups currently. Well I'm doing soccer right now in gym and I can do basketball maybe if they let me switch.. but I really like soccer too.. so idk. and theres a basketball club but it is mostly guys or should i just suck it and join the club anyway to improve my skills? and other than like.. shooting (what are some tips to be a better shooter btw) what other skills should I practice and what drills should I do.. like should I run a lot (and how much) to get in shape and all that jazz. thanks so much! and i'm in 8th grade btw. and a girl if you didnt realize that already.. lol.

If you like basketball and want to try-out, then try-out. You can always play after school at your gym if you don't have a net at your house.
I think if you want to improve your skills for try-outs, then most deffinately join the club. What could it hurt?
Practice all your skills. Talk to the coach that's holding try-outs and ask what all he will be looking at/for. Then go home and practice your weak spots that they will have at the try-outs. And yes, run. A lot.

I was sorta in a relationshp for a few months in my high school freshman year. Well really we flirted, chatted on the phone till about midenight, and i kissed him and we hung out at his job. Over the summer he faded away and this year suddenly we are in the same class, he's a senior and im a sophmore, and he's always starring at me and talking and joking with me. I don't know if he wants a relationship or what.
But now i suddenly like this new guy who has a girlfriend at another school and he's really nice to me and were in theatre together. But now knowing he has a gf i don't know what to do! I don't even know if the guy in my class likes me like he did last year. Anyone ever go through somethin like this? please help!!!!
I'm sure every teenage girl has went through a similar situation, or eventually will. Boys are straight out confusing sometimes.
If a boy you like has a girlfriend, and they are happy together, my advice is to always forget about him. Some may tell you otherwise, but that's just how I feel. I think it's wrong to wreck a relationship, and there is a 90% chance usually that he won't break up with his girlfriend for you.
If you think your ex may be into you again, and you would like to try it out, go for it. Talk to him a little and see how he acts. Who knows, it could turn into something.

I can't tell you if his age had much of an effect, because I don't know your age. It makes a difference. A big one.
No, you aren't a whore, and I doubt anyone on this site would have called you one. If you have a boyfriend, and you've been with him for a long time, of course you are going to want to get sexual eventually. If you want to give him head, just do it. If he responds in a good way, keep going. Then eventually you can ask him what he thinks about sex. How he feels about it, and if he would ever like to with you. If he responds to oral in a negative way, stop immediately, apologize and keep doing what you were doing before. You can ask about the sex at a later date. Because if he doesn't want a blow job, there is a pretty large chance he's not going to want sex.

This guy asked me out and my best friend says he likes me as more than a friend, but I mean, I haven't known him for long at all. Did he ask me out just so he could have a gf? Or does he actually love me? I can't really tell... when we're together he holds my hand and he puts his arm around me, but, it just doesn't seem like he's letting himself go. I don't really like him as more than a friend right now, I think mostly just cuz I don't know him. There is no way in hell he loves you yet. It's too soon, you guys barely know each other. But just because he hasn't got the love bug yet doesn't mean he doesn't like you. He may really want to be with you. If you think that maybe there could be a future, go for it. If you aren't really into him in that way- Then don't.

Okay, so I don't know what to go as for halloween.
I was going to go as a rock star, but I sort of want to be a tiny bit traditional this year and go as something scary, but not like a witch or a zombie. Something original.
So then I was thinking about my favourite TV show. They're politicians worst nightmare, and not just politicians normal people as well. Although to dress as them I'd have to be casual and I don't want people to think I'm doing it for the candy. I can't even eat candy anymore so I'll be throwing it all out. I'm doing this to dress up. Plus also it's not really...I dunno it would be weird.
But then I thought they're a politicians worst nightmare. Bingo, why not be a politician? Everyone hates them, and because of their power it sort of makes them scary. I'm not going to be a specific politician but just one in general.
I came here for opinions on if I should be a politician? And if so, how should I dress? And what sorta things should I do and wear?
If you want to do it, go for it. But I don't know if people would understand it or not. I know I probably wouldn't catch on.

I don't know why but my left ear hurts occassionally. It is a sharp low, dull pain. I think I might have causes it because I got the feeling of not being able to hear from one ear- the feeling you get if you dunked your head in water and one of your ear seems to be cloggy. I pinched my nose and blew from my nose- but since I pinched it air came out of my ear. (ever happen to anyone of you?) but it is weird i know but it helps, my ear didn't clog up anymore but now, my ear gets this pain. I'm afraid it is something bad, does anyone know about this?
Ear infection probably. If you swim a lot, water gets in your ear and causes an infection. If you go to the doctor, he will give you medicine. But you deffinately need to go. It might be something more serious, and if it is, the sooner you go the better.

my friend is a cutter and in school she carved 'bitch'on her arm. i wasnt in her class. she just came to me after class and was about to cry and showed me her arm. i got pissed of and said 'wtf whyd you fuckin do that' on and on. im a recovering cutter i know how it is but her life makes mine seem good and mine is hell hers is worse. i just dont know what to do? im 13 shes 14 femalees my best friends got me to stop by grabbing the knife

But I do understand that you are worried about your friend. Heck, I'm worried about her too. I used to be a cutter, and I haven't done it for two years. Congratulations to you for recovering as well.
As for your friend, talk to her first. Tell her it worries you. You know what it's like, because you've been there first hand. Think about what made you stop, and mention it to her. Maybe it will help her stop as well. If not, you need to talk to a councelor at your school, or her parents. Or maybe talk to your parents, and get them to talk to hers. Any trusted adult will help you. Your friend needs help, and you know it. You need to get her some. If it's not serious yet, it's on a fast track to getting there, so help her. The longer you wait, the worst things will get.

My boyfriend thinks I am cheating on him. I love him and I would NEVER cheat on him. I just can't believe that he would even think that!! I am so stunned. I don't know what to do.

He's being paranoid. It happens in relationships sometimes. You just have to talk to him about it. Tell him that he is your only one, and there is no way that you would hurt him. To reassure my boyfriend, sometimes i'll add a sarcastic, silly remark at the end, so he knows i'm not lying.
I know it hurts when someone you love thinks you are being unfaithful. It really blows, because you have no way to prove to them that they are wrong. Just tell him he's going to have to get over these stressful feelings, and he's going to have to trust you. If he can't do that, you guys are in trouble. Trust is key in a relationship, and if you guys are having a hard time, then this relationship is going nowhere fast. Make sure he knows that.

I'm 14 and a girl in the 9th grade. Ok, so I like this guy and I've liked him for a longgg time. Everyone alwyas says we're giong to get married, becasue we're best friends and were always together. I never told my girl best friend that i liked him though, because I kind of always thought she did too, and i really dnt like to talk about guys with anyone. But just recently, she told me she lked him, and wanted me to ask him to homecomeing for her. well, I did, and he said that he had thought that he might would ask me. and I told him that I couldnt do that to her, and told him he should just go with her.so he said yes, and i've been ttrying to kind of stay out of it, but now he doesnt thik I like him anymore, and things have gotten weird between us. I miss us being close, and I dont know what to do. Any help?
Confront your friend first. Tell her your feelings and how you really care for this boy a lot. If she gives you her blessing, great. If she doesn't you can't help that. If you honestly love that boy don't give up on him.
Then explain the situation to him. Who knows, this could turn into a great relationship.

anyways I am on the JV squad at my high school, and we are currently learning how to get our back handsprings down good without a spot. I can do mine on the trampoline and ground with a spot, but sometimes I land on my knees or my legs don't stay straight the whole time. Any advice on making it better..or just any advice about back handsprings in general? Thanks! I'm 15 by the way :]
I know tons about cheer, but not so much about tumbling ;)
I'm working on my back handsprings as well. Physically I can do it, but I get mental blocks when I know my spotter isn't there. It's strange? =\
It sounds to me like you are under rotating. The best thing I can tell you is to make sure your technique is correct.
Get in the sitting position, hands up, and jump straight back, not up. At the gymnastics class I go to, they make us lay on the floor with our arms up, and they mark with chalk where our fingertips are, and where our feet are. Start your back handspring where you're feet were marked, and aim to end where your fingertips were.

I have a boyfriend that I've been going out with for about 9 months now and things have been kind of crappy lately 1. our relationship isn't sexually exiteing enough that kind of sounds bad but out of nine months of going out I've been fingered once and I've given him hand jobs countless amounts of time and was thinking about giving him head 2. we've been fighting ALLL THE TIME over really stupid things he will piss me off i get mad then he makes fun of me being mad and BAM EXPLOSION * we got in a huge fight yesterday and I was like how come you always have to make me feel like crap (his sense of humor him "joking around" is kinda aggravating me lately) I told him about it before and i told him its getting worse and I'm sick of fighting with him all the time .. we cant even talk on the phone anymore without getting in an arguement (btw WE NEVER USED TO FIGHT BEFORE) but on the other hand he's always there for me and when i'm upset he's always there to help me feel better but i'm sick of fighting and i can't like change who is his because his sense of humor that aggravates me is basically who he is; i'm losing patience with him..
AND I'm kind of really attracted to another guy and he's becoming more appealing to me lately
what should i do.. should i breakup with him?

Relationships have their ups and downs. You just happen to be in what I like to call a "Dating Rut" It is however, the couple's responsibility to work through these hard times. If you have a good relationship with this boy, don't throw it all away because you've been fighting a little. Give it time, see if things get better. Unfortunately though, things won't get better on their own. You both have to put in a little effort to figure out what's making you fight all the time. Sometimes it takes almost losing someone to realize what a great thing you both had. Maybe take some time apart. Don't spend as much time together and see how things fair out. As for this other guy, you may be attracted to him, but attraction is purely physical. Think of it this way, if things end up not working out between you and your current boy; then think about him. Until then, don't dwell on it to much.
To answer your question: I don't think you should break up with him right away. Give it time to see how thing are going. If things don't get any better, then yes. Do break up with him. Don't stay in a relationship if you aren't happy in it.

what are some good ideas for decorating a door way barbie style. my friend and i are being barbies for this halloween carnival at our school for little kids and we don't know how we should decorate the door way. like picture a classroom door closed and you know on the outside theres a little bit of wall on each side. thats what we have to decorate. any advoce would be grreat!! :D
Pictures of Barbie or any of her friends (Midge, Theresa, Ken, etc) would be cute. You could blow them up to be bigger. Flowers bordered around the door would also be cute. Anything pink is good =]

I'm not much of a myspacer, but I can tell you how to find some similar songs.
If you have limewire, search for a song by the band. Somewhere on the page you'll be able to find what your band's genre is. Once you find it, just search for songs with the same genre.

For the last couple days my back has been hurting really bad. It's in between my shoulder blades and doesnt really hurt until night. Like right now. I have tried stretching it but it isnt changing. I cant do anything to make it feel better and its really bugging me! Please Help!!! I will rate all your helpful advice! :D
You've probably pulled a muscle. Sitting at the computer desk can do that to you ;) I've had it happen to me before. Just keep stretching it, and don't slouch when you sit. Try having a friend pop your back. Be sure not to let them hurt you though.
Lay flat on your back with your hands by your side and have someone stand over you. Count to three and on the third count, blow all of your breath out while the person with you puts firm pressure where it hurts. If it pops, it may feel much better.
Try that, and if that doesn't help or the pain doesn't go away in a week, see a doctor.

Theres this guy, any we've been really good friends for about 2 years or so now. When we first started hanging out I had a boyfriend and never thought of him as more than a friend, but once me and the guy I was with at the time split, I found myself falling for my friend. He's pretty much my best friend now and we talk every day,and flirt A LOT. I like him a lot but I dont know what to do about the mixed signals he's sending me.
He's kinda shy and quiet around other people as well as reserved. He isnt a touchy feely kinda guy but we hug a lot, we say cute things to each other, hook arms in the hallways at school, and a bunch of other things such as holding hands in a joking way.. (Yea i know that doesnt make sense i guess you'd kinda have to see it?? lol.. like grasping hands then letting go over and over?? haha... ) ANYWAYS... Ive totally heard that line before, not personally, but in general and i know its a subtle way of saiyng i dont like u. but idk if hes being honest with me or trying to get me to give it up, without being rude, any suggestions on how to go from complete touchy feely to nothing, he said that to me about a month ago and we've been the way we've always been since but i wanna get over him..

Anyways, you don't know that he was just giving you a line when saying he didn't want to ruin your friendship. Maybe he was being honest. Mention it again in a more up front way. Be like,
"Ok, we're friends so i'm comfortable enough to say this. I like you, a lot. I want to be with you, but I don't want to waste my time if I don't have a chance. Just let me know straight up. I won't be mad, but i'm confused, and it's not fair to me if you keep leading me on like this."

I think you most certainly go to the football game. You can't let a boy run your life to the point that you don't do things you want for fear of him being somewhere/doing something. Don't go because he's going to be there, go because you frigging want to.
If he makes the choice or acts as if he wants to talk to you, by all means talk to him. If he doesn't, don't let it bother you. And if it secretly does, don't let him know it. Have fun- You may like him, but you don't have to be miserable if he doesn't like you back.
Dress comfortably. Don't try to hard to impress, because it will end up blowing up in your face. Dress nice. A little makeup, something cute with your hair, but where something that isn't too "showy" or "flashy"
