My friend is a senior in high school and im not even a freshman yet. We been talking for about 4 years now. We're not together but we really love each other. The only we aren't together is because of what we kno everyone will say. My mother knows I talk to him and how i feel about him. She likes him and things he's very nice. He's graduating this year and plans on going away 2 college. I think that's great but im going to miss him. So my question is "Is it best for us to just stop talking now ?"

no ! dont stop talking to him now ! listen to me, just because he is going to college and such is no reason for you both to just cut ties. yes, there is a huge age difference between the two of you, but 10 years from now, that age difference probably is not going to matter.
if you both really love eachother, then dont just stop talking because of school or age or what people might say. you both dont have to be together as a couple to love eachother.. you can still be in eachothers lives and love eachother still.
and i know youre going to miss him, he is going to miss you just as much, im sure of it. and if you guys just stop talking, youll miss eachother EVEN more. and do you want to be a stranger to him and him a stranger to you ? .. i dont think so. however, i think you should talk to him about this and how you feel. communication is key.
but if you think it will be easier to just stop talking to him, then do it. whatever is best for you. but im just asking you to consider how it will affect you in the long run hun.
