I would like to start my apple fast tomorrow. I have read that you are supposed to eat the seeds. One coworker said she does not because the seeds have arsenic. The other coworker said she eats them anyway and they don't cause any harm despite the supposed arsenic. What do you all think? Thank you.

According to her, 80g (about 1/2 cup) of apple seeds is the minimum lethal dose for someone weighing 75kg (165lb). And the seeds would need to be eaten all at once.

You are at absolutely no risk of cyanide poisoning. Even if you approached a lethal dose, you would lose consciousness from the cyanide before it killed you unless you ate a large amount of pure apple seeds. There is no way you could possibly consume enough apples quickly enough to be in any danger.
