Ask me a question. I like giving advice. If you don't like the advice I give, or the opinion I have, it's fine.
Sometimes you can't get through to people no matter how long and hard you try.
advice
Okay I was just wondering what different theories everyone has about the universe, life, the possibility of other universes, and other such truths that people are constantly in the search of. In other words, why are we here? What is out there? What happens after death, and before life?
Ahh...
Well, I personally believe in God. But, I don't believe in everything having to do with Christianity. For instance, I'm not so sure of heaven. I know that there is a place that we must go after death, but I'm just not sure where.
It's a scary thing to think about, what happens after death? Do we just stop existing? That can't be true...
I think it's so scary to think about no longer existing, because we have NO IDEA how that feels. It's such a foreign idea. I've been struggling with this question for quite some time now. I was thinking about reincarnation...do we ever come back as another person? Such a weird thing.
I'm more keen to think however that we go to a heaven-like place. Paradise, if you will.
I pray to God when I'm thankful or happy, scared or sad. I feel Him with me when I'm in rough situations and firmly believe in the phrase "God never gives you more than you can handle". This helps me through the days when things are particularly rough.
I think it's harder nowadays considering we humans keep figuring out more and more. For every belief it seems there is a scientific explanation. Which in my opinion, just stirs up more questions as opposed to answering them all. Sometimes, I wish we didn't know so much. Wouldn't it make it so much easier just to give yourself over to Faith one-hundred percent? I try to have faith, but there's always that tiny sliver of doubt...
I don't really agree with the Big Bang theory one-hundred percent. I guess that's because I can't even really imagine nothingness. I mean, what could it have been like when there was ABSOLUTELY nothing? I don't get how all of a sudden out of nowhere something sparked and created the universe. But, that's what they teach in schools...
I'm more apt to believe that God created everything...with a little help from science. ;]
That's what I do now, I sort of combine things I've learned in school with things I've learned in church about the creation of the universe. It makes sense sometimes to me...until I think of yet another possibility.
Basically though, I'm not sure if we'll ever know. People could search forever but I'm not sure if we even SHOULD ever know. Some things were meant to be left alone. Maybe if we left them alone and just trusted in the fact that there is something bigger out there than ourselves, we could all be a little more satisfied.
Yeah, I believe in God and his presence. We can't be alone here. There's got to be something bigger, larger than life. I can feel it everywhere. But it's something that you can't feel with your senses, it's more like you feel it in your being.
Just some of my opinions. But life is a big question mark and I like it that way. =]
(Rating: 5) You make very good points and have a good opinion. I too, sometimes question big bang, but as i read more about theories around the net I came across one that says that the universe becomes extremely large then begins to shrink until all matter is condensed into one point and there you have an explosion which sparks a new universe. I thought how cool that makes sense! Yet then there is that concept of infinity which humans find it hard to grasp. Sometimes it makes me think that we as humans must also be infinite. But what exactly is in those infinite years of life is something I have no answer to. That is probably what makes life so profound to me, the fact that all of the minds on this planet can not put life into pure logic. Theres much much more than logic involved.
