Well, it all depends on what your gender is. It doesn't hurt guys at all, but it'll sting quite a bit for girls the first time- more than a pin prick or trying to stick 2 fingers up your nose. If you want it to hurt less, [if you're female] you could try fingering yourself to loosen yourself up a little, so it won't be so painful.
