Ok, all my frineds seem to think I have the perfect voice. One even said that I should go to a recording studio! I couldn't beleive it when she said that. Then I asked some other friends and they all said the same thing. I asked my step-mom if she could take me to one and she said that we would have to ask my mom to see if its ok. But what if its not ok, would all my dreams go down the toilet? What if Im able to and it doesnt turn out the way I want it too? Im scared to ask, what should I do? (link)

Well, nothings going to happen if you DONT ask. So, regardless of what may or may not happen, you'll never know until you ask.
If she says yes, well, then kudos to you. :]
If she says no, attempt to find out her reasoning, and ask her if she doesn't want to take you to one, if she'll let your step mom take you to one.
