well i haven't had my boyfriend's friend died but his grandpa died recently & that was tough on him. all you can really do is be there for him like you know what you'd want if that happend to you. you'd probally want just somewhere there to give you a hug or hold you & let you know things will get better & everything happens for a reason. you know stuff like that. right now he just needs someone there & who's better for that then his girlfriend. Oh and try not to get mad @ him over little stuff and just know he's going through a tough time like if he snaps fast at you or yells he doesn't mean it. bottom line: be his shoulder to cry on basically. just be there & let him know you care.
im sorry though you have to go through something like that. hope i could be a little helpful to the situation.
