about

My name is Angel, and I'm from northern California. I come from a large family where I'm the oldest, and I've lived a long, strange life. I have just about seen it all. In the last couple years, I have kicked a bad drug/alcohol addiction, and I can proudly say that I'm a sober teenage girl. I have a job, I'm a nanny/family assistant, whatever you want to call it. I'm a senior in high school, and I'm genuinely happy. I have a boyfriend, and we've been together for almost a year now. I have a lot of good advice, because I have a lot of life experience. I come from a broken family, I have step-relatives, and half-relatives. I just reunited with my mother after 10 years. My sister is a drug addict of the worst possible kind. I've been in all types of relationships. I guess it's safe to say that I know a little bit about a lot of things, and there's a lot that I know a lot about. Then there's things that I know nothing about, and that's when I ask questions. Thanks for reading my little rant, ask me anything. I check my email everyday, so if you can't reach me on my column, email me. ~Angel xoxo

advice

I'm writing a 4 page essay about fast food in biology. So I need your opinion on a few things.

-Does fast food have negative health affects? And what are those?

-Should fast food companies tell people what's unhealthy in their food ? So they can decide whether to eat it or not?

-Are people addicted to fast food?

I've already written a few long paragraphs but I'm out of ideas.. so I need some help. Especially for the first one. I need some biology terms in it and I'm not good at it.

Yes, fast food has negative health effects if people abuse the consumption of it. High cholestorol, obesity, liver problems, the list goes on. Why would fast food companies tell their customers they could die from their food if they eat it too much? The idea about any business, especially the food business, is; they want you to buy it. They don't care what happens to you, they just want you to buy their food so they can make money, they won't tell people that it's unhealthy, nor should they. If people wanted good healthy food, they'd go out and get slow food, not fast food. People can't really be addicted to fast food, addiction is all in the head anyways, so anyone can just stop eating fast food one day, it's not like crack where one could become physically and emotionally dependant. Hope I helped. -Angel
