Q: I've had a problem for a few years with gas bloat in my stomach. Usually it happens after I eat, but not all the time. Tonight I had mexican food and about an hour after I got back home I started to bloat just below the ribs. It's finally subsiding now, but it was REALLY painful, so much that it bent me double when I tried to stand straight. It happens when I drink soda as well (which gives me painful hicups on top of that).
Does anyone have any suggestions on what might be causing this and why the gas isn't being let out quicker? I also have trouble with burping, I can feel the gas come up but then it just stops. Any help would be much apreciated!
