I am going to be a freshman as of aug. 24 and i really want to make a good impression on everybody.What would be a good outfit to wear on orientation and the first day? i wear mostly peppy clothes i guess rather pricey brands: like a&f ae juicy and hollister but i am going to a school that is very mixed so i dont want to look like a snaob or a slut.
Also what type of back back is best for HS right now i bought a northface backpack that is all black. would a messanger bag be good what is trendy? (link)

First of all, I think you should get a messenger bag. Get bags of different types to suit different clothings and create different styles to your dressing.
You can wear jeans, a halter top plus a kind of smart looking jacket(with a collar and short sleeved) that reaches only to your mid chest. You know what i mean?
Plus, you can wear belts that are special. For eg, you can use your scarf, tie or any sash as a belt. Its something simple yet creative.
And also, I have a rule which I abide by when I wear accesories: Don't wear dangling earrings if you're wearing necklaces or beads and vice versa if not you'd look overdressed; esp if you are dressed in smart casual style.
