i was always told that going on the pill would make your period stop completely (by freinds, not doctors) and lately i've been seeing a commercial about a pill that can reduce your period to only 3 days?? now, is it true that there is such a thing as a birth control pill that can make your period stop altogether, or is that just a myth?
There's a new contraceptive that has not hit the market yet called "Anya" which will put women in control of how often they will have their period or even if they have one at all. It will soon be hitting the American/Canadian markets. Personally I feel very uncomfortable with this concept. I think some point, years down the line; it will be found to be the root cause of uterine cancer. You see our menstrual cycle is a cleansing process that is necessary for good health. I don't see a problem w/taking a pill to keep from getting pregnant, but not having a cycle is another story. It could be 10, 20, 30, years from now, but you heard it from me. This will be found as a cause for uterine cancer. But the good news with this contraceptive is you can choose how you want to use it. You can choose to have a cycle, just not every month, maybe every other month or something. I've heard that some people are going to choose to have a cycle once or twice a year w/it. That's better than not at all, at least in my opinion. I hope this was helpful. Good luck!
Namaste!
