What does it mean to "fall for someone" i get the general idea but could anyone explain it better for me please? thanks i'd appreciate it! _(link)

To fall for someone is the same as falling 'in love' with them, to begin liking them, to begin to have deeper feelings for them, to want to be more than 'just friends' with them.

Examples :

Many girls fall for Michael, though they do not know him.

Sweetheart, I've fallen for you.

I think I've begun to fall for someone special.
