in ancient greek stories, the people sacrifised(sp) things to the gods. how did they do that?

thanks!

Normally by slitting their throats with A GIANT KNIFE. Blood sacrifices were best recieved so people sacrificed an animal (often a goat) at the altar of the god they were trying to suck up to by murderizing it, and then often burning the remains afterwards.
