advice
I just downloaded quicktime 6.5 a few days ago and it's been working fine up until today. The video works fine but the audio is skipping a great deal. I tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it again but it didn't help. Anyone had a similar problem and a way to fix it? Any suggestions would be helpful.
G5's advice is quite good, those are two things to look into.
There is one other thing you might want to look into, since it's just the audio that's having a problem. Check to see if there are other things running that play sounds intermittently that might be interfering. For instance, do you have AIM on and set to make noises all the time? If so, try turning AIM off and seeing if that solves the problem.
It's a long shot, I admit. G5's suggestions about RAM or streaming video connection speed/quality are more likely, but I figured I'd throw this one out just in case those ideas didn't turn up results.
