I have a question, would you have been mad at them if they had said you totally suck. Why are you so defensive over the fact you're friends are being nice. Every friend says that when another friend goes out on a limb. You're friends are supposed to be supportive. You have really good friends that are proud of you. They weren't lying, they were being good friends.
