I have to switch schools (7th grade) and I'm so nervous. I have cramps in my stomach and I feel like I'm going to puke. I have talked to friends over the phone about it and they say I'll do fine but I don;t about that. Please, someone tell me what I can do to reduce nervousness of this change?
There isn't much you can do really. My friend Brittney had to switch schools one time. She was nervous as well. You just have to focus on positive things and calm yourself down before leaving. Walk in that school with a smile on your face and try to look friendly so people talk to you. If you make a friend when you get there, you will probably feel not as nervous but secure. Don't have a negative attitude about this situation. That will not help at all. Just take a deep breath and take it as it comes at you. I know switching schools isn't easy for most people. Perhaps you could write down the positives about going to this new school and focus on those things so you aren't nervous about the situation. The main thing is try and be calm. Medetate, take deep breaths, close your eyes for a couple seconds, smile, anything to calm you down. :) Good luck with this.
