Q: My friends and I branded ourselves when we
were bored. (With a metal charm and heat
from a candle) Mine was on my hip and caused
no bleeding but one of my friends was on
her wrist and cause a deep scab which now
started bleeding (almost 3 weeks later)
Is there anyway to help her scab heal quicker
and safer? We do realize we were stupid
to try something like this, but I'm scared
for her, its still bleeds sometimes.

at 3 weeks you are pushing the limit on not seeing a doctor about this. but she should keep it clean and bandaged and make sure she isnt picking at it. sometimes a person will pick at something like this without noticing they are doing it...you have to watch your friend.

Q: I have 3 awesome kids. Their deadbeat of a father is about to have his liscence suspended for not paying his child support, funny thing is he is in complete denial. He still plans to drive to missouri two days after his suspension and go for truck driving school, rude awakening when they scan his liscence. Does anyone know the process on how he can get it back.???

he can appeal to child services who is the one getting his liscence suspended but it likely wont work. what he needs to do is get a job and start making payments, .
too bad he is not already a truck driver then they wouldn;t suspend his liscense at all.

Q: alright, this isnt an urgent questions, i thought it was kinda funny, and im curious. if a girl uses pumping lipgloss, and then makes out with a guy, or gives him oral sex, does whatever she puts her mouth on, make that part of the body tingle also, or no?

the active ingredient in the lipgloss usually only lasts a few minutes after application, so after that do what you want there should be no problems unless your bf has an allergy which you would know by now

color is only part of the package, how you style it and how much you like it is much more importatnt. Confidence in your looks and a smile do wonders for any hair style.

do alot of sitting, when you're sitting down the difference in height wont be that noticeable and you wont have to tilt your head as much to kiss him. dont let a superficial thing like height stop you from a great relationship.

Q: I am about 15 pounds underweight. I am 13 years old 4'10'' and 70 pounds. I know that bad, I'm don't have any eating disorders or nothing. I just have a very high metabolism and have a slender body shape (most women in my family on my moms side are bulit like that). I don't want to gain weight fast. I know it takes like a month to gain about 3 pounds or something. But I just want to know are there any diets that can help me gain about 1-3 pounds each month?

what i would do is go the high protein route (meat) and maybe lift weights twice a week. you will build muscle and your body shape wont change much.

those little registration cards that come with things you buy be it a purse, or a radio or whatever are placed there by marketing and sales departments of companies for the reason of gathering information on who is using their products. They either use the information themselves or sell it to another company to help them market their stuff to you.
will it help you personally to fill out the card. NO. will it help Dooney and Burke make more products that you might like in the future, MAYBE.

It is possible i am misunderstanging your terminology but it sounds like you have a cracked head gasket. If there is any watery bubbles when you check your oil than i would be positive. if not it might be the water pump, in either case it is very important to take this to a mechanic.

try telling all those you know to not say "god bless you " when you sneeze. do they hope god will bless you, do they think saying it will make it happen, did it happen because they said it. who knows. but it is a polite thing to do just like saying that they hope they helped. i wouldnt advise you to try to tell people not to be polite mostly because it is not very polite.

i have researched from a religious context and some literatural context and i have found no reference to seven gateways of hell. The Divne comedy writtnen by http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dante_Alighieri talks about 9 circles of hell and that is the best i have found . can you be more specific about what you are looking for?

Q: LF alternative designs of combined DIY space-water heating systems, mounted on home rooftops. Solar space heating is useful in the cooler spring and fall days in northerly climates, and not really needed in warmer summer days if a house is well-insulated and has lots of thermal mass, but the hot summer sun would take care of hot water needs. Big problem with using cu piping for hot water system is that precipitate tends to clog them over time; the only way I can see overcoming this is to use (filtered) rainwater rather than city(utility) water but this requires additional pumping gadgetry, and rainwater isn't what it used to be when it comes to drinking it. If the only rainwater used was from the al-covered roof at least it wouldn't have the ashphalt chemicals.
To take advantage of hot air for space heating, electric fans would be required.
One way to economize on system costs would be to use 2' wide al roll sheeting as permanent, (no-need-to-replace) roofing material, rather than shingles on the south portion of the roof and locating piping on top of it inside collector boxes. Since solar collectors would sit on top of al aesthetics would not be affected. New house design might take this into account, including avoidance of vents and chimneys on the south slope, but no reason that skylights can't be incorporated. Does anyone know if there might be a fire hazard or other damage from collectors overheating on a very hot day? Probably be a good idea to locate electronic air clearners in the cold air return so dust dosen't accumulate in the collectors and clean air is circulated throughout the house. Would appreciate information on success folks have had with this kind of concept, especially on things like having to keep the space and water heating systems separate from each other, sizing collectors, draindown provisions.

I have been staring at your question for months and until recently have had no answer but i met someone who is building a "green" house from scratch and i asked them. to answer the one question here the answer is no. there is no fire danger from your solar collectors overheating as long as you are using standard wiring and hook ups. The system my friend has come up with is an indoor pool for use as a heat sink from pipes and collectors outside and radiant heating in the floor to heat and cool the house during the different seasons. this requires pumps that are temp controlled and a rather advanced system to maintaing regualting temps. The system really has to be built from scratch to suit the enviroment of your particular building so some reasearch as to what the average temp and rainfall in your area will be necessary.

This is a great question!!! it all depends on my mood. People say bullshit around me all day, other people say stuff that they believe that i know is flat out wrong. my mood dictates what i do. if i am feeling educational i will instruct the ignorant and hope they understand. if i am feeling sarcastic the bullshitter gets the brunt of my sarcasm. This has got me in trouble with authority because sometimes they are the ignorant bullshitter receiving the brunt of my mood.

basically you need to look at the possible consequences of being nitpicky and decide in advance whether you are ready to face the worst consequence before you open your mouth.

Q: Do you think the reason people only dwell on comments that were made to them because the comments made to them is on the topics they are sensitive about and not on the ones they are NOT sensitive about.

People will dwell on topics for many different reasons. some have to do with sensitivity to the subject, some because of mental disorder. why someone dwells on a comment is not as important as how long, or how often they dwell and whether this dwelling is interupting normal life activity.

Q: How do I NOT care what my 80 year old mom thinks about what I do, buy, etc. and just do what I want, buy, etc. You see what tends to happen I get angry at her for insisting her way is better and then I say to myself; how dare you and in addition I build up a whole scenario in mind about what type of conversation would take place if I confronted her on the issues she makes comments about which gets us into a fight. Here are some things she does: (1) makes comments on the herbs I take (you see she doesnt believe in taking any type of supplements; (2) Gives me contradictory messages on the purses (they cost $1.49 but look $80) and jewelry (cost $1.49 but look around $40) I buy at the 99 cent store - she tells me that she loves the jewelry and purses I buy but makes comments on them as well; (3) I was going to buy reciprocal presents (frames) for three coworkers and she put down the fact that I was going to buy them at the 99 cent store. (I will elaborate on this on a new question. HELP. As I said how do I not care, not get angry, not say how dare you, etc.

your mom is entitled to her opinion just as you are to yours. that fact that your opinion disagrees with hers is a testament to the fact that she raised you to think for yourself. when she gives an opinion you dont like dont think about how you disagree with her, thing instead about how she taught you to make up your own mind and not be swayed by others opinions that disagree with yours.

your mother made you an independent person. have you ever thanked her for this?

Q: ok well those of you who are part of the methodist church, and live probably in missouri, your youth group most likely goes to wow weekend. can anyone who's gone tell me a good specific place to meet up with a person from somewhere else that will be there too?? plz plz moderators do not delete i really need this answered!! xo!

I personally have no clue as to what wow weekend is but i do have some advice. Every event like this of any size is organized along the same lines which means that they have to have certain things which are always required if several hundred or several thousand people get together . one of the things they have to have is a "lost and found." it may be a security office, it may be the organizers main building or tent but the key thing is that anyone who works their will know how to direct you and your friend to the lost and found. so tell them that;s where you will meet.

everyone has an opinion on something and no one can force their opinion on you. there is no reason to get upset about it. all you have to do is say i hear you but i disagree then walk away. if it is your parents and the opinion you;re talking about is that they think you should do your homework than you need to know the difference between an opinion and an expectation. you need to do those things that are expected of you whether you agree with them or not because that is the way the system works. everyone has expectations. you expect your parents to provide food and clothing they expect you to do certain things . but your opinions are your own and no one can force theirs on you, but it is good to listen because sometimes someone elses opinion is better or smarter than yours since no one , not even you, is perfect

since i am guessing ( and hoping ) that your b/f is somewhat close to you in age that means he is going through the stage in life of trying to be a man verses a boy. call him your man and he should like it and if you say it often enough you might get lucky and he will treat you as a man should.

what the edifi program does is save you time, if you lead a really busy life and have a hectic schedule and so does your parents the edifi program can be helpful because your paying someone to make calls, search the web, fill out forms etc. but if money is more important than time usage then there is no reason why you or your parents cant do this yourselves and save the money. the college you want to go to has people to help but they expect you to do your part which is not hard but time consuming.

you can call the doctor before your appointment and tell them you want it to be private and when you go they will politely keep your mom out of the exam room. The doctor will not divulge what you say to your mom without your permission so be honest with the doctor so that you get the right exam and advice.

i know you are afraid of telling your mom you're sexually active but she needs to find out sometime and you can use the doctor to help tell her if you are afraid of confronting her alone.
